Vintage Christmas pocket

 Hi guys,

I have decided to start working through a paper pad that I got free with a magazine a few years ago, and this is my first creation.

I used a pale blue base card and layered a golden patterned paper from the stack over this. I then used a fineliner to 'stitch' this paper to the card base. Next I used a gold with filigree paper from the same pack to make the pocket, just cutting diagonally across the corner. I 'stitched' around the attached edges and then adhered this at a slight angle. Finally I cut out the sentiment panel and 'stitched' the edge of this also. I chose a sentiment panel with a pastel green/blue tree to match the card base. I then added a green snowflake topper and a purple snowflake sticker.

Bug collecting @ Creative Moments

 Hey guys,

Just a reminder that our current challenge is still open over at Creative Moments, with the optional them of 'It's Alive' - perfect for the Halloween season! Our lovely sponsor is Polkadoodles.

Here is my creation using one of their ladybird digis and a jar from the same collection.

I coloured the image using promarkers after layering the ladybird onto the jar on the computer and printing. I then fussy cut the image. I matted black card onto a pink card base, and then added the image to this. I added a spider and two ladybirds, and hand write the sentiment, as though on a blackboard.

In the frame

 Hi guys,

I decided to have a play with some of my stash and use a topper as my focus for this card. This topper has been hidden in my stash for a while, but I think it is likely to be a Hunkydory topper (but I am not 100% sure).

As the topper was circular, and I had a variety of die-cut circles in my stash, I decided to make a layered frame for the topper. It did already have a frame on the topper, so I then layered this onto a blue circle to match the butterfly, then onto a metallic gold, followed by a blue patterned scalloped circle die-cut. I added these to a 3x3" card base. Finally I added the little sentiment topper from a Papermania cat pack.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
HappyLittleStampers - Use Dies (all the circles are die-cuts)
SundayStamps #320 Frame it Sketch (I made it circular)

Wings in a row

 Hi guys,

Our new challenge started over at I Love Promarkers with the optional theme of wings or tails. Here is my penguin row creation, using Huddle from SheepSki Designs.

I coloured the image using Promarkers before cutting and layering onto red mirror card. I then layered this matt onto a snowflake base card. To finish I added snowflake peel-offs to the image and a peel-off sentiment. The peel-offs and card blank have been in my stash for a while.

Bugs at Halloween

So we all know that the bugs get the limelight in October, not just for Halloween but because the male giant house spiders are on the hunt for females at this time and so more are seen in peoples houses. Therefore, although the optional theme over at Creative Moments is 'It's Alive' this month, I specifically wanted to make a card that features those 8-legged creatures.

I found this pre-coloured Spider Web Halloween Gnome over at Polkadoodles and knew it was perfect for my version of this theme! I then simply cut the image into a square, matted onto black card and layered onto a scalloped edge card. I finished with a sentiment panel but no sentiment - this will be added as appropriate.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SOS #507 Franken-card
AYLI - Halloween or Fairies - I do like both and Fairies are more versatile, however I love Halloween and so if I can use a Halloween image, but it doesn't have to be for a Halloween card, then I will jump on the opportunity.

More teacups for various occasions

 Hi guys,

Following on from the card I made back on the first, I wanted to show another couple of ways of using the teacup stamp that I used for that card. I went quite pink with both cards.

For this first card  stamped the teacups onto some patterned paper and then fussy cut. I used three different patterned papers to make banners across the card and the overlapped the stamped image onto these. I added a sentiment and then finally some sequins for a bit of sparkle. (I think I could probably have gotten away with a few less sequins).

For this second card I made a narrow panel using a pink patterned paper and a pink cardstock. I stamped the teacups onto pink self-adhesive X-cut vellum and embossing using Heat It Up! sparkle white embossing powder. To finish I added a sentiment sticker across the card front.

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenge:
SimonSaysMonday - Add some texture - sequins in the first card and embossing powder/glitter for second card

Alien invasion

 Hi guys,

We had our new challenge start over at I Love Promarkers on Wednesday - this fortnight it is just Anything Goes.

I decided on a mainly green colour scheme with hints of blue. I used an embossed paper panel from my stash to start. I coloured the image with my promarkers and then cut a wavy edge around the image before adding to the card base. I then just added the sentiment.

The image is from  CFL digi designsAliens no 6.

Tea-cup gilding

 Hi guys,

Our new challenge at Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) started yesterday with the theme of Anything Goes - nice and easy!

For this card I started with a 4x6 card blank. I layered a linen papermania patterned paper onto some pearlescent green cardstock and then tied some pink rattan around this before matting onto the card blank. I then die-cut a circle from patterned paper and added a sentiment. The cups were with a free gift stamp set and I stamped this onto X-cut self-adhesive pink vellum using a versamark inkpad. I then heat embossed using copper Heat it up! embossing powder.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SimonsaysMonday - Add some texture (the rattan)
craftycatz #652 Spots/Stripes (I have used spots)
ATSM #455 Die-cuts/Stencils (A simply die-cut circle)
MTTC #517 Two or more patterned papers
