Blue Christmas

So today I have a CAS blue (or technically teal) christmas card to share with y'all, from up North in lovely Burnley (we went to blackpool plesure beach today).

I die-cut the snowflake from pearlescent Teal card and popped it on the card blank. I then added some teal buttons to follow the line as per the sketch from The Paper Players. Finally I coloured gold-peel off sentiment in teal peel-off markers.

Sketch -
I would also like to play this for the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday - Monochrome
crafting by design - get ready for Christmas
AYLI - Favourite Season - I have gone for Winter as I do love making icy cards
Jingle Belles - Let it snow
Winter wonderland - Anything Christmas Goes
inkspirational #170 Photo Inkspiration
(I used the buttons)

ABC Christmas - S for Snow and T for Teal

I do have a couple of pictures from Blackpool too :)

Two word sentiment @ Aud Sentiments

So our new challenge over at Aud Sentiments is simply to use a two-word sentiment. Sounds simple, but can actually be quite complicated sometimes lol. When you are challenged with this you seem to forget all the basics - like happy birthday - that you use all the time - or is that just me? haha.

We are sponsored by the lovely Dr Digi House of Stamps and I have used Armory for my gift bag:
I coloured the images with Papermania Watercolour pens and then fussy cut each of them individually. I used a Geometrics collection gift envelope from Papermania and attached the images at angles onto this very masculine background. Finally I added the golden birthday sentiment.

I wouldlike to enter this into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
CCM #218 Autumn Colours
MMM #80 Autumnal colours
Addicted to stamps #311 Anything Goes

AND there are also some more lego animals :)

Autumn @ Creative Moments

Yup it is our new challenge over at Creative Moments, and this time the DT have used the theme 'AUTUMN'. I used the image harvest time from DS4J for my card.

As always we do accept anything goes entries also :)

I coloured the image with Papermania Watercolour markers after layering the image onto a polkadot patterned paper (on the computer). I then simply used a yellow card blank and added some washi tape top and bottom :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Modsquad - Autumn Colours (oranges, yellows and brown)
 CCM #218 Autumn colours
MMM #80 Autumnal colours

Kitty Gifts

I have a gift envelope to share with you today, using an image from IkesArt.

The envelope itself is a Papermania Geometric collection design, but I have coloured the image with Papermania Watercolour markers and added it to the front. I have then added a best wishes sentiment label so that the gift can be given for a variety of occasions.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
IkesArt facebook
City Crafter #431 Pet company
SUYP #34 Furrything Goes

I also have some more lego creatures, and real creature, from Slimbridge:

Tweet kitten

Hi there,

I have a new baby card to share with you today - and I have gone for the CAS design style this time.

I layered two elements from a decoupage sheet together to make the image panel, using 3d foam squares. I layered them onto a card blank that has an emossed border line. I then stamped a couple of birds from a Honey and Hugs stamp set, using VersaMagic pink chalk ink. I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set above the image using black ink. Finally I finished the sentiment by colouring some silver peel-off letters to spell out TWEET.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SUYP #34 Furrything Goes
613 Avenue Create #213 CAS
Addicted to CAS #145 Tweet
intaas #42 Nature
CCEE1838 Baby

I would like to share some stunning lego creations (I do have some information about them somewhere, but it is missing at the moment!)
OK this first one is not lego :P
 A lego Kingfisher!!
 A lego Dragonfly - amazing aren't they??

And a duck that I was unable to identify!

Animals @ I Love Promarkers

It is time for a new Anything Goes challenge over at I Love Promarkers. The theme for the DT, and for you guys if you want a bit more of a challenge, was to add an animal. Don't forget your Promarkers though, whatever you decide to create.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Dr Digi's House Of Stamps , and I am using Mood Music for my card.
I layered patterned papers onto mirror card and then matted them together. I wrapped the layers with starry ribbon and then layered onto a white card base with the fold at the top. I added a green doily and fussy cut the image before placing on top of the doily. To finish I hand-wrote the sentiment onto an aqua tag, added a bow to the dogs tail and diamantes in the corners.

I used Promarkers in - Metallics Gold and Silver, Cool Grey 3, Lavender, April Showers, Icicle, China Blue, Terracotta, Tequila Sunrise, Pastel Pink, Olive Green, Royal Blue, Walnut (and a couple of other blues too).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
PFP #462 Anything Goes
Craftingbydesigns - You're the man
 scrapbookstampsociety #149 Use an animal
MAWTT #80 Use Ribbons
inkspirational #169 Use a doily

Waterfall bracelet

I have actually been doing some beading guys! It has been a while since I made something nice with my beads (even if I did manage to break one of the pots and end up with pearl beads EVERYWHERE!!

So the first thing to do for this design is to wrap the tassel beads - take a head pin and thread the desired beads onto it. Then fold the wire at 90 degrees above the top bead. Hold round nose pliers after the fold, on the long bit of wire and wrap the wire round, so that it is 180 degrees. Then use the pliers to rotate it round to make a full 360 turn, and a loop. Keep the round nose pliers in the loop you have created and use some crocodile, or long-nosed, pliers to wrap the remaining wire from this loop, down to the bead. Cut the wire and fold the end in tightly above the bead. Then these were just threaded on to beading wire, with pearls to make the main string.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday - It's a wrap (I have been creative with the theme as my beads are wrapped :D)
Crafty Catz #429 Pearls
AYLI - Girl or boy - when I am finally allowing myself time to do some beading it is always much more fun to create for girls - it is far too difficult to make beaded jewellery for boys that is not just a pendant based design :)

Anything Goes challenges at dragonfly dreams AND notjustcards.

I thought I would share my potato harvest from the experiment I did - the dirtier and less in number were from a compost bag, which had a smaller area for the potatoes to develop in, so they were not going to grow as many:
These in the purple trug are much cleaner and were grown in a potato sack, which has helped the potatoes air once the leaves died back, and stopped the soil getting too damp around the roots.

Country Diary Uniqueness

I have made two cards using the same flower stamp from the Country Diary free stamp set (got a while back with a magazine).

These were made for the Twofer challenge #9 leaves. I used two floral stamps that are mainly leaves and so could be used in a variety of ways - on the masculine card I only used the top leaf spikes.

For the first one I used a monochrome colour palette:
I used a Whispers ink pad and stamped the whole image twice on each side, with one ink application for each side. I then stamped the senitment (from a different free stamp set) using the same ink. Finally I added a layering stamp, with a black top layer to add a bit of definition - so this is a nice One Layer CAS card.

This particular card I would like to enter into the following challenges:
modsquad - Monotone Thank you
badge-winner-fw
ATSM #309 CAS
Simply less is Moore - OLC florals

For the second card I went for a more masculine creation with the same flower stamp:
For this one I used a monochrome geometric patterned paper as the base to stamp onto. I inked the edges in the ochre Whispers in and stamped the top third of the image twice in this colour. I then stamped this part of the image all around the top and bottom of the panel in black ink. Finally I added the birthday sentiment from the same stamp set.

This one I want to enter into these challenges:
The Male Room #94 Geometric

Here is a picture of my suculent that was knocked of its stem - I am hoping it re-roots and then I can re-pot!! Fingers crossed

Autumnal @ Aud Sentiments

Well there certainly is a bit of a nip in the air now, even though the days are still staying reasonably mild, letting us know that Winter is just around the corner. I am doing a wild september challenge, where I find something new wild every day and post a photo and description about it. This can be found at 'Chucky's Nature Notes'. It is great fun, looking closely at my garden to see what is there, and looking for unusual floral and fauna when out and about. The main reason is because somebody told me back in July that it would be silly to have a 30dayswild type theme in September as 'nature is going to sleep so there is nothing to see - it would be too difficult for soe people to be able to participate'. I want to prove this is not the case and there is still plenty to see and do in September - even for those with mobility issues, or who struggle with the cold!

Anyway, back to the point, the theme for our new challenge over at Aud Sentiments is Fall (or Autumn here in the UK). We want to see those Autumnal colours and images, but do remember you MUST include a sentiment somewhere on your creation. We are sponsored by Digi Doodle Studios and I have used Amber Rose.

I coloured the image with promarkers and then simply cut it square. I used a plae orange base card and layered a few skeleton leaves on the sides, positioning the image centrally over these. I then used a combination of single sentiments from my stash in colours to match the image.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
A snowflakes promise #54 Anything Goes
AYLI - girl or boy - I always find girls much easier, both for use in my crafting, and to craft for
polkadoodles - Great outdoors
city crafter #429 Fall colours

I also have an update on my bunny:
And also a nice fruit compote I made the other night as a yummy treat (expesive though!)

Tags @ Creative Moments

Yup we have another new challenge starting today at Creative Moments, after our three week challenge, which gave us a much needed break :) This time the optional twist that the DT played was to include a tag or label. I have used Tag Skulls from Rick St Denis (RSD) for my tag, and layered it onto a pink background after colouring with Promarkers. I wanted a bit of contrast, and will be using it for Christmas as it is just perfect for a certain somebody. It was very quick to make as the tag was pre-printed! I do find it difficult to make tags, so this one was a nice change.

I used peel-offs to add the to and from.

I would like to enter this Tag into the following challenges:
Dragonfly Dreams - Anything Goes
Not just cards - Anything Goes
Craftingbydesigns - Anything Goes

I wanted to share a photo of Gavins male regal jumping spider with you today - he is eating a mealworn, but look at the green iridescence!

Such a cute little chappie he is!

Do pop back tomorrow for more craft inspiration!
