Out to sea

Hi guys,

I have a new card to share with you today:

Hubby did tell me that he thinks it needs another colour as it is very blue hmmm...I think he was trying to wind me up!

Anyway, I used various off-cuts of blue card to die-cut using Creative dies nesting dies. I stamped the duck image (free gift) onto the smallest panel and heat embossed using WOW embossing powder. I layered the panels together and then stamped the matching sentiment in blue ink.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Anything Goes @ Aud Sentiments

Welcome back on this sunny Thursday (maybe Summer has arrived at last?). Our new challenge at Aud Sentiments is another Anything Goes challenge - but please do remember we need to see a sentiment somewhere on your creation.

This challenge is sponsored by Oddball Art
and I have used Sid the Silly Seahorse Image No. 323 for my card:
I coloured the image with my Chameleon pens, using the colour tops to combine two different blue tones. I die-cut the image using X-cut nesting oval dies, and then die-cut some core'dinations style blue card with a Marianne Createables die to make some seaweed. I used diamantes on the bubbles and finished with a Washi Tape sentiment sticker.

We cannot wait to see what you create, so please pop along and share on the challenge blog,

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
CCEE1926 Fish or sealife
ATSM #347 Make your mark
MMM #99 Beginning with B (Blue Seahorse)

Three of a kind @ I Love Promarkers

Hiya,

So sorry my post is late - I forgot to do it last night and am only just sitting down to the computer!

So our new challenge at I Love Promarkers started this morning, with the twist of using three of a kind. We are sponsored by Knitty Kitty Digis  for this one and I used hearnoevil,  seenoevil, hootnoevil no 10.

I coloured the image with Promarkers - Azure, Bright Orange, Tequila Sunrise, Warm Grey 4, Lime Zest, Mint Green and Olive Green.

I went for nice bright colours as I thought a child would really love this image. I then die-cut using X-cut nesting ovals dies. I used the next size up to cut a piece of blue shimmer card, but cut the edges off. I adhered this panel to a 3x3 card base. Finally I added three green diamantes to the top and three gold diamantes to the bottom.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
ATSM #347 Make your Mark
SOS #398 You're so punny
AYLI - summer or Winter colours - I love bright bold colours that are reminiscent of summer
notjustcards - Anything Goes

Simple, non-traditional, Christmas Greetings

Yup I have a CAS Christmas card to share with you today. Trying to make a non-traditional card, using the Tic-Tac-Toe board from ColorDare - not easy for this one!

I used a border stamp to create the line down the centre with Tatty Ted grey ink. This was only a small border stamp, so I needed to do some repeats, which you can see where the joins are, but I still think it looks ok. I then die-cut the snowflake and heart from some spotty paper in my stash, using Marianne Createables dies. Finally I added a sentiment using a brighter green than usual for a Christmas card.

This followed the bottom row of the board:
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Christmas @ Sweet Stampin' - Non-traditional colours
jinglebelles - snow much fun
MMM #99 Beginning with a B (Border stamp)

Under the sea

So it is father's day here in the UK. I did make cards for everybody, but then I moved my craft room and the cards disappeared. So I made a new one for Father-in-law:

I needed to make this card reasonably quickly, so I stenciled the background using a black glitter paste, purposefully going over the edges in places to give a bit of a distressed effect. I am starting to think I should have made it a little more pronounced or just not bothered at all - what do you all think?

I then added a hunkydory topper, peel-offs and some pearls.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
modsquad - Masculine Nautical
badge-top3
craftycatz #466 Male/Father's Day
SOS #397 Stencil me this
TIOT - It's a mans world
dragonflydreams - For a man/boy
notjustcards - Anything goes

I also have a video of Henry to share with you :)

Also some pictures - firstly of me after sanding back a chair that I am upcycling:
And then Togo and Doris:

Togo is a H.maculata tarantula spiderling, but he is a reasonable size now. We have had him since mid January when he was only about 1cm legspan. He is now much bigger and rather fluffy :)

More than One Layer @ I Love Promarkers

Hi guys,

We have a new challenge over at I Love Promarkers, and the twist this time is: More than One layer!! We are sponsored by the fabulous The Paper Shelter, and I have used Wearing Spring.

I used a heavily patterned base card as I thought it matched the image well. I die-cut, using X-cut nesting large labels dies, some leafy patterned paper, and the image, using X-cut large ovals nesting dies.

The image was coloured with the following promarker pens - Tawny Owl, Winter Berry, Oatmeal, Pink Carnation, Azure, Lemon, Primrose, Lime Green, Forest Green and Caramel.

I then added some diamantes to the edges and layered these panels together on the card base. Finally I added a die-cut butterfly and a flower topper.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Anything goes @ Creative Moments

Hi guys,

Sorry I am late with this post - I am full of a cold so everything is taking a while today :( - sympathy very much needed!!

So anyway, we have a new challenge started today at Creative Moments, with no optional twist this time - so just Anything Goes :).

We have three sponsors (please pop along to the blog to see what they are offering as prizes) and I have used Nap Sentiments 2 from Dr Digi for my mini card.

This was really simple to make. I acquired some crafting stuff from my mum a while back and it included pre-cut squares of glitter card. I had no idea what I would use them for. Then I saw them when I was trying to think how best to use these sentiments. So I simply used three of them and added the sentiment on top! Nice simple card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar - Masculine
CCM #235 Masculine
CASology #345 Calm

Teddy wants to show her tree house off:
And a jumping spider in the garden with his dinner:

SKETCH with a hidden image

Team B are hosting over at MAWTT for these next two weeks, and the theme is a sketch:

Here is what I created (as I do like to try and play along with Team B if I can :D):

I used some patterned papers out of my scraps box to make the layers, aded some lace to the top strip and stamped the sentiment from the Honey and Hugs Festive Christmas stamp set, using pretty colour purple ink. I also added some coloured pearls.

I wanted to include a hidden element in this card, so I made a fold in the top panel of patterned paper.

Underneath this I stamped the dragonfly and flower from Helz Cuppleditch Riverbank Revels set and coloured with Chameleon pens.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
intaas #59 Lace and Pearls
ikesworld #121 F for Fold
MMM #97 Interactive - Kinetic
Daring Cardmakers #104 Secret Hideaway

I would also like to share this lovely sight we had down on the local nature reserve:

Dandekitten wishes

Well my two on this card are certainly more kitten than lion lol. I wanted a CAS design and this is what I came up with:

So I used a lilac card blank and embossed the dandelion clock onto the front. I do love having my big shot pro for the odd occasion I decide to do something like this :). I inked the embossed design using a purple pretty colour ink. To finish I simply added kitten and sentiment peel-offs.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
IkesWorld - E for Embossing
SUYP #42 Furrything Goes
Simply Less is Moore #396 CAS embossing
TIOT - Make a mark
AlphabetChallenge - E for Embossing Folder

Here are some pictures of my animals too:
Jonny - the P.regalis or Indian Ornamental Parachuting Tarantula

Ninja - the cute little guinea pig (arble was hiding and refused to have her photo taken in this instance!)
Houdini (if she ever turns back up) - our recent Pink Toe addition that is nowhere to be found!!
