Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi guys,

I have a Christmas car to share with you today. I don't think I have even managed 1 a month so far this year lol.

I printed out two patterned papers from my House Mouse decoupage CD-Rom - the main one whcih is green, and then a brown bark one onto which the sentiment is stamped. The trees and sentiment were stamped in a Boofle green ink using a magazine free gift. I fussy cut around the sentiment and then added between the trees. I then added a Merry Christmas Ribbon to the top.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
CCEE1917 Tree
craftyhazelnuts #435 For a child
craftingbydesign - Christmas
ATSM #338 Holiday
craftycalendar - 1 ribbon/2 designer papers
Sweetstampin' Christmas - Monochromatic

I would also like to share a photo of Bob with you - she is a Chaco Gold Knee Tarantula
She was just coming out of her burrow here as she felt the vibration of me trying to remove her water dish to clean an refill it. Look at those stunning markings.

Thanks for looking,

Floral @ MAWTT

Hi guys,

It is my turn to host the challenge over at MAWTT and as we are well and truly into Spring I decide that florals was the way to go. I do not use my flower stuff often enough, so this made me have a look at what I had and make something.

I used a fancy flower stamp set that came free with a magazine. I stamped the inside of the flower using 'evergreen' Distress ink, and the outside of the petals with Crushed Sapphire Distressed ink. I also stamped the sentiment from the same set in between the two flowers. Finally I added some vintage style toppers.

I woul like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CountryView - Spring
AYLI - Flowers or ribbons (This is a difficult one - I have gone with flowers if I am posting the card, as I prefer to use ribbon as bows).
MTTC #394 Spring Flowers
daring cardmakers - Blooming Wonderful

Can't wait to see what you are inspired to create

Animals @ Creative Moments

Hi guys,

We have a new challenge started over at Creative Moments today, and yes it is Team B's turn to do the challenge, but I loved the images from our sponsor - Morgan's Art World (You will need to join Facebook group to view images) - and so I decided I needed to play along with this one :D. I used the precoloured Jaguar in Snow .

I made a card base using black glitter card, reminiscent of the snow in the nighttime. I die-cut the printed image using the X-cut scalloped circles nesting dies. I also cut some gold tissue paper using the next size up. I then added a sentiment panel. To finish I placed small square diamantes onto the sentiment panel, and then two larger ones on each of the bottom corners.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafty Catz #458 Anything Goes
polkadoodle wk16 Spring
dragonflydreams - include an animal
AYLI - Fav animal - Cats have always been one of my favourite animals, but as I am getting older I just seem to love em all haha.

Embossing @ I Love Promarkers

Yup it is time for a new challenge over at I Love Promarkers, and the optional challenge for this one is to use some embossing on your project. We are sponsored by the lovely IkesArt, and I have used Saucy-Steampunk.

I used a pastel card blank for the base. I coloured the image with Promarkers and then die-cut using a fancy frame nesting die. I also used the nesting dies to cut out a frame from Kraft card. I ripped parts from the frame to ensure the image was fully visible. I then cut a square from the same car and layere patterned paper over it - but this I cut on an angle to follow the pattern and give a bit more of an edgy feel to the card.

Promarkers used - Cool Grey 5&4, Henna, Metallic Red Gold, Fuschia Pink, Ice Grey 2 and Cool Grey 2 for the hair, Satin.

Finally I added some charms and embossed the far right (although I should have done this before sticking the image panel down! Grrr.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
PFP #489 Patterned Paper
ATSM #337 Make your mark
notjustcards - Anything Goes
ikesworld #119 D for die-cuts

Subtle snow

Hi there,

I made a cute little Christmas card last night that I want to share with you.

So this was a really easy one to make. I used a 3x3" card blank and added a strip of ink down the centre (using a Papermania gold ink pad). I then added a forever friends bear to the centre of the card. Finally I stamped the sentiment using the gold ink onto a parchment paper (no idea what make the stamp is), and then I die-cut it into a circle.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
AHSC #312
SimonSaysWednesday - No designer paper
CRAFT #509 Christmas
SimplyLessisMoore #393 Subtle colours
WinterWonderland - Cute Christmas

I also have some babies from Tenerife to share with you

So cute!!

Have a lovely evening,

Patchwork Nature

Hi there,

I decided to make a no-colouring card using a little fox stamp as my main image, as we saw a fox on the roundabout just outside our estate.

I used a square base card and added some papermania patterned paper to the background. I then added a printed strip of silhouette pattern printed onto pearlescent card (I can't remember the name of the designer). Finally I stamped the fox and the buttons from a Patchwork stamp set that was free with a crafting magazine, onto a gingham oval that I had in my stash. I added this to the card base using 3d foam pads to raise it up from the background. What is your honest opinion about leaving the image uncoloured?

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
ATSM #336 Anything Goes
Catchthebug - Back to nature
Sweetstampin' - Get Ready for Spring
inkspirational #184 Pop it up
intaas #55 CAS with blue

I thought I should also share a dino update with you. It is from last month though - I need to get a more recent picture!
At this point the third Dino had taken 28hr36 taking the overall time to over 201 hours.

I also thought you might like to see my blue tits visiting the nest box!

Spring @ MAWTT

So we have a new challenge starting today at MAWTT and it is hosted by the lovely Judith, who has chosen the theme of That Spring Feeling.

I have created this card using the paper pad I won, from The Paper Boutique (I think it is called Secret Romance, but it is currently buried!). It is our Aunty Heathers 60th Birthday, so I combined some foiled peel-offs to create a luxury card.

I also added some washi tape down the side of the patterned paper.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
dragonflydreams - include an animal
ThePaperPlayers #436 Plaid or check (I chose a loose plaid pattern of washi tape)

Steaming Along

Hiya everybody,

We have been having a change around between the spare bedroom and my craft room, so I am limited as to what I can access at the moment (nothing new as my craft room looked like a bomb had gone off anyway!). So I decided to use my Hunkydory Little Book of...Train, Planes and Automobiles.

I used one of my pastel polka dot card bases. I die-cut a train image with a Marianne die to make it a little more fancy. To finish I simply added a peel off sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
ikesworld #119 D for Die-cuts

Cascading Hearts @ Creative Moments

Hi guys,

We had a new challenge start today over at Creative Moments, sponsored by Eureka Stamps.

I have used their Cascading Hearts image for my card.

I coloured the image using my new Chameleon colour tones pens (as you can see I am still getting used to them :D). I then die-cut using scalloped circle X-cut dies. I also die-cut a piece of gold pearlescent paper using the next size up. I added these to a colour explosion base card and finished with some peel-offs.

I would like to enter this card int the following challenges:
SimplyCreateToo #148 Anything Goes
Avenue 613 #220 Anniversary/Wedding
CASology #337 Burst

Ombre Baubles

Hi guys,

I have a CAS Christmas card to share with you today, playing with my Chameleon pens again :)

So I used my Colour Tones Green with the Colour Tops Green/Yellow to make an ombre coloured bauble - stamped from a free stamp set. I used gold paint on the top of the bauble. I think I maybe needed to infuse the pen a little more with the second green - what are your opinions?

Finally I added a peel-off sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Christmas@SweetStampin' - Include some stamping
ABC Christmas - H for Hang it up
Addicted to CAS #156 Ombre
ATSM #335 Photo inspiration

Spring @ Aud Sentiments

Hi guys,

We have a new challenge at Aud Sentiments today with the theme of Spring or Easter. Now we are looking for a Spring/Easter sentiment - but I am a bit of a nonce and did a spring card for an Eastertime birthday, and didn't realise that my sentiment was not Easter or Spring related until after I had made the card :/ Who let me be on the DT anyway?

So our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps and I have used Floral Corner for my card.

I coloured the image using WHSmith watercolour pencils and then die-cut with M&C stitched square die. I then simply added to a spring green card blank and used black peel-off stickers for the sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CCM #230 That special someone
The Card Concept #112 Cottage Florals

TheMaleRoom #108 Spring
AYLI - Fav colouring medium (if I want to use pencils for a more delicate effect I always go for my watercolours)
IkesWorld #119 D for Die-cuts

I can't wait to see what you guys come up with - I am sure you can do better than me :)

Make it square @ I Love Promarkers

Hi guys,

Well the weather yesterday was a little bit of everything. Nice sunshine, then a bit of a breeze and a bit of cloud, suddenly hailstones are falling, then it is wet and windy! Typical UK springtime then lol.

We have a new challenge starting over at I Love Promarkers, and the optional theme is Something Square. Our sponsor for this challenge is Knitty Kitty and I have used Purrfect Mum .

I coloured the image with Promarkers - Daffodil Bloom, Summer Sun, Caramel, Tawny Owl, Pale Pink and Plum Preserve.

I couldn't cut the image into a square, so just cut as close as possible. I added a piece of stonechip patterned paper offset to the image, on top of a purple tie-dye effect patterned paper. A square 6x6 card blank was used for the base.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
PFP #487 Make it cute
DaringCardmakers - A special lady
Simon Says Wednesday - Animal Antics
CCM #230 That special someone
Alphabet Challenge - A for animals
MTTC #393 Mother's Day/For a female
SUYP #41 Furrything Goes

We can't wait to see what you create this time,

Hugz Tinz

Wedding focus

Hi there,

I have actually managed to do another page in my wedding photo album!

The book is made of Kraft card. I tore a piece of pearlescent gold paper to use as the background. I printed the photo in both colour and monochrome so that I could have an accent panel. I layered this onto a deep green, to match the green of the inside of the jacket. I then layered washi tape and gold peel off border over the ripped panel before adding the photo panel. Finally I added a few peel-off sentiments.

I would like to enter this page into the following challenges:
ColorMyHeart - Tic-Tac-Toe (Ivy, Gold, Charcoal)
CCM #230 That special someone
MMM #93 Something humorous (the pose is definitely that)

Thanks for taking the time to look - I will leave you with a couple of pictures:
 My garden currently
 Doris stitching
 Baby with her new accessory
Home made potatoe gratin stuff lol.
