Flagged Butterflies

Hi guys,

I have made a pretty postcard using the colours of the British flag and butterflies.

I used a patterned blue card for the base. I then added a card butterfly and a felt butterfly to the top corners, and some white flowers to the bottom. I added a sentiment to the centre and then red rhinestones to the centres of the flowers and the centre of the butterfly.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #223 Use your countries flag colours
dragonflydreams - Things with wings
alphabetchallenge - I for Insect
SundayPostcardArt - Butterfly Wings

I am also shaving my hair to raise money for Bumblebee Conservation Trust (and the hair is going to the Princess Trust). I have a just giving link here if anybody is interested :)

Children @ Aud Sentiments

Ok, technically our new challenge at Aud Sentiments is to make something for a child, including a sentiment, but that doesn't sound quite as good as a title. We are sponsored by Polkadoodles

, and I have used Bananas About You for my postcard/picture.

This little guy was coloured with Sharpie Pens to get the bright colours that children love. I used a bright background card and fussy cut the image, adding a 'sun' style circle behind the sentiment, so that the sentiment doesn't get lost.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
MMM #101 For a guy - any age
notjustcards - Anything Goes
SimplyCreateToo #151 Use patterned paper

And here is a picture of my little Daavus Pentaloris:

Christmas Time @ I Love Promarkers

Hi guys,

Sorry I forgot it was Wednesday - been so busy with work lately that I think I need to go and re-find my brain, screw my head back on and turn the switch on and off again lol.

Anyway, it is July...so we have a Christmas in July optional theme for you over at I Love Promarkers. Our sponsor is Digi Doodle Studios. And I have used ChristmasMorning  to create my card.

I used a pre-printed base card to make my scene (it has snowflakes all over the back), and coloured my image with Promarkers. I then just cut around the image so that the background of the card came through in places. Finally I added two foiled sentiments.

Promarkers used - Sandstone, Pastel Pink, Eggnog, Orchid, Duck Egg, Winter Berry, Soft Green, Emerald, Crimson, Walnut, Cool Grey 4.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
ABC Christmas - N for No Peeking
CraftyCalendar - Christmas in July
SOS #400 Christmas in July
AYLI - Fav bird or beast - My favourite animal for Christmas is the deer because they are so sweet, and the bird has to be the humble Robin, as everybody likes to see their lovely red chest in the dull midwinter :)
CraftingbyDesigns - Get Ready for Christmas
CRAFT #522 Christmas
CraftyCatz #471 Christmas in July

Don't forget - it is currently the Big Butterfly Count here in the UK - get outside and spend 15 minutes seeing what butterflies are in the area! Here is a lovely large white for you all.

Sparkly Christmas Time

So I have made a very blue and green themed Christmas card that I want to share with you today.

I used a pale blue base card and then die-cut a snowglobe and scene details from a die-cet that came free with a magazine. The snowglobe I cut on blue card, while the green parts are cut on X-cut self-adhesive glitter paper. I used a foiled sentiment, and then some winter scene stickers to finish and add a bit of an alternative colour to the card too.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
ThePaperPlayers #451 CAS masculine
modsquad - Christmas
CRAFT #522 Christmas
CraftyCatz #471 Christmas in July
CraftyHazelnuts #447 Use a die-cut/punch
SOS #400 Christmas in July
TheMaleRoom #115 Christmas in July
WinterWonderland - Christmas or Winter buildings
craftycalendar - Christmas in July
countryview - Blues and Greens
ABC Christmas - O for ornament (a snowglobe)

I have also found this very pretty, and Christmassy coloured, flower in my garden - no idea what it is though:

Celebration of life

Hi guys,

I bought some Kraft cards the other day and decided to try using one of them. I wanted a CAS design - and this is what I created:

So I stamped the sentiment into the centre of the card, and simply added some birthday stickers - very CAS indeed.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
SimplyLessisMoore #400 Small images (the stickers are quite small)
sweetstampin' - you've got to have friends

And I have this little photo to share with you of Doris looking very guilty haha (it is the radish that she is eating and it self-seeded so is for her to eat anyway but that look!).

Splish Splash @ MAWTT

We have a new challenge starting over at MAWTT. It is a great theme for these hot summer days - Splish. Splash - so water based creations to keep us all cool and hydrated :)

I added a bright pink doily to a white card base. I die-cut the splash (which was free with a magazine earlier this year) using some blue patterned paper I had in my stash. I added the main splash to the centre of the doily, and then the middly to the bottom corner as a puddle. The sentiment was stamped using blue pretty colour ink and the stamps that came with the die.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Allsorts #528 CAS
Simply Less is Moore #399 Celebrations
Addicted to Stamps #176 CAS summer card

Please pop over to the blog and see what the rest of Team A have created for your inspiration - and do link your creations up so we can see what you have made.

Watersports and sunshine

Hmm...I have lost my memory card for my camera - AGAIN. So back to using my phone to take the photographs (which doesn't work as well). At least it has been sunny so I don't need to use the flash haha.

So here is my watersports themed card that I made - of course it was for a challenge that has now closed - idiot that I am!

I layered a white sailboat scene peel-off onto sun yellow card, die-cut into a sun shape. I then layered up strips of card and patterned paper from my scraps box, following the Cheerful Sketches July sketch.
I would also like to enter this summer scene into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
CCM #238 Here comes summer (people sail in summer in the sunshine :D)

Look at this little moth showing off his fluffy bits!

And my vase of sweet peas from the garden

BINGO @ Aud Sentiments

Hi guys,

Welcome to our BINGO board over at Aud Sentiments.
I used the central row for my card. We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I used Faith Block.

I used a heavily patterned card base (I am trying to use up my stash of them). I coloured the image using promarker pens and then simply cut into a square to mount onto the card base. I then used 3D blitters from Papermania to accent the corners, and added a peel-off sentiment.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
PFP 501 Flowers
CatchtheBug - Anything Goes
colormyheart #350 inspiration board

Meet Bob now she has her new adult clothes on! She is such a pretty girl, but she certainly hides away far more now lol.

I made a card base using a pale blue card to match my angels wings. I coloured the angel with the following Promarkers: Magenta, Metallic Gold, Sunkissed Pink, Sandstone, Duck Egg, RubyPastel Yellow and Burnt Sienna. I then stuck this to my card base using washi tape.

Relaxing in the Garden for Creative Moments

Well it IS sun shining for a change lol. My card is enjoying the time spent out in the garden for our new Anything Goes challenge over at Creative Moments.

We are sponsored by My Besties and I have used Garden fancy pants dreaming.
I coloured her with Chameleon pens, but just used them as standard marker pens this time - no colour blending.  I wrapped some patterned paper with ribbon and then layered onto the card blank, before layering the image on top. I die-cut some flowers from gingham paper, slightly paler than the ribbon, and rolled them up to make little roses. I added candi to the centres. Finally, I added some purple pearls, to match the flowers on the image.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
CuteCardThursday #589 Anything Goes
Crafty Catz #469 Make it pretty - flowers make everything pretty :)
AlphabetChallenge - H for hats and handbags (I think she dropped her handbag with her other shoe :)
inkspirational #190 3 or 5 of something (3 paper flowers, 3 peals top and 3 bottom)
SimplyCreateToo #151 Use Patterned Paper
ikesworld #122 G for Gingham

Some butterfly pictures for you

Foxy collage

Hi Guys,

I have made a postcard to share with you today - not sure what it will be used for mind you haha.
I printed the foxes out quite a while ago and I cannot remember where they came from now! However they were pre-coloured. I fussy cut them and layered them alongside some matching blue die-cuts of flowers and balloon, to make a bit of a collage.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
CCM #237 Dies or punches

Here is a Dino update @ 47 hours for this one - total of 220hrs almost.

And a local bee swarm! First time I have ever seen one.

Here is a little clip of them going into the hive!
