Nature @ Aud Sentiments

Another DT post for you all - for our new challenge over at Aud Sentiments, sponsored by Fred, She Said.
The theme is Nature, and so I have used Doodled Floral Corner for my card.

I had this leaf patterned card in my stash that I got several years ago and I thought it would be perfect for a nature themed card. I coloured the panel with Promarkers after laying out how I wanted it on the computer, and adding the sentiment to the centre. I added a die-cut butterfly with pearls down the centre, and some paper flowers.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
PFP #495 Add gems/pearls
Die-cuttin' Divas #422 Tic-tac-toe (Gems - Insect(well kinda) - Fav technique (colouring)
Addicted to stamps #174 Flowers (there is a dragonfly stamped onto the flower, as well as the main digital stamp)

Thanks for looking and we hope you can join in with our challenge,

One for the boys @ I Love Promarkers

Yup, we have a new challenge over at I Love Promarkers, and our optional theme for this one is - for the boys. We are sponsored by the lovely Dr Digi'sHouse Of Stamps    , but I chose something a little different - Cuddly Critters Walrus - for my creation. I also decided to try something a little different.
I used Blue Pearl, Lilac and Cornflower for the image and layered it onto a blue tie-dye effect background panel after fussy cutting. I added a B sticker and some scrapbook sentiments and then made this up into an artists easel card. Finally I used an 18 key for the title panel.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Polkadoodle wk21 Male themed
Simon Says Monday - Frame it
CCM #234 Birthdays
AYLI - His or hers - I find cards for him more difficult, however they do lend themselves to having a bit of a play around and creating something much more unique
notjustcards - Anything Goes

Also just a dino update for those of you interested :)

Can't wait to see what you create,

Colour Flourish

Hi guys,

I have a quick card to share with you this evening:

I made the card base from cream card and firstly added a blue sentiment. Unfortunately parts of the sentiment did not stamp properly - but I will say I intended a distressed effect haha. I then used a red leaf flourish and added a couple of die-cut blue flowers and a blue felt bird. Finally I had a souffle (from Popcorn and friends) that I had printed out and sitting in my stash, so I fussy cut him and sat him on a branch with his letter for the little blue bird (when it decides to look).

I used the colours in this inspiration photo from ColorDare:
I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Monochrome @ MAWTT

Hiya everybody,

Our new challenge over at MAWTT is Monochrome, set by the lovely Penny. I have made a fantasy card using dies that I haven't used as yet!

Sorry about the lousy picture - my camera is playing up so I have had to use my phone and the lighting was pretty poor. I will try harder next time!! The unicorn is an intricut die from Hobbycraft and was cut on X-cut self-adhesive vellum. The others were a free gift in a magazine cut on Papermania collection paper, with glitter dots on it, for a little bit of magical sparkle.

I would like to enter this one into the following challenges:
craftingbydesigns - Feature a Creature
AYLI - His or Hers - I find cards for her much easier to make - and I have more in my stash that is suited to girl cards lol
Animal Friends #74 Horse or Unicorn
SimplyCreateToo #149 Anything Goes

We can't wait to see your monochromatic creations,

Pop-out Flowers

Hi there,

I have a CAS masculine and floral creation to share with you today!

So I used double sided paper with a masculine pattern. I die-cut a fancy square from a Marianne Creatables set and then folded the corners in on themselves, and then back out to make an exploding box shape. I then die-cut a flower from the same set and used the back of the paper to stand out against the green check. I placed this into the centre of the exploding box used glue dots. Finally I die-cut the sentiment using First Edition Tag dies. I backed the empty letter area with double sided tape and sprinkled gold glitter into them, before placing on the top of the card base.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
The Paper Players #442 CAS plants
Allsorts - Happy Birthday
The Male Room #111 Origami
CCM #234 Birthdays
MMM #96 Yellow, red and green (if I can count gold as yellow?)

Summer @ Aud Sentiments

Yep we are celebration summer with our new challenge over at Aud Sentiments - we are starting to feel that it is just round the corner now :) I am loving my blue tit nest personally!

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Nest Dolls
and I have used Sunshine Ellie  for my creation:
I used a bright summery patterned base card (6x4") for this one. the image was coloured with Promarkers and then fussy cut before placing onto a gold mirri card, which was also fussy cut. I added her to the top right of the card so that the flower on the left stayed intact. I then added diamantes to the flower. Finally I added a summery sentiment, simply saying 'Best' so that the postcard can be used for any occasion - best friend, best wishes, best of luck etc.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
CCM #233 Three-Two-One (Three flower layers - Two layers for the image - One sentiment)
SOS #395 May Flowers
PFP #493 Summer is coming
Sunday Postcard Art - Flower Child

Don't forget to include your sentiment if you are playing along with us, and thanks for looking,

Double the mowing power

Hi everybody,

Time to share my new cards with you - made for the current Twofer challenge:

I used a decoupage Country Companions set alongside the lawnmower stamp for the first card, and then just the lawnmower and sentiment on the Kraft card.

This one has a much more feminine feel to it.
I want to add this card into the adventure challenge at inkspirational.

And this one is very masculine. This one is also perfect for the CAS challenge at MTTC.

And here is Teddy come out to say hello,
And some of the stick insects too!

Birthday postcard

Hi there,

I have tried my first postcard art - making a birthday celebration postcard.

The chair and birds are from a Sizzix stamp set, that came with dies to match. I stamped the chair, and then sat the birds on the back. I also faded stamped the chair around the edges.

I then used stamps from a Helz Cuppleditch set with my pretty colour rainbow ink pad. Again I faded the sentiment down the postcard. I was going for a slightly distressed look with this.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
CRAFT #512 Birthday

I also thought I would share some of my plants with you today:

And a dinosaur update too:

Black & White Impact

Hi guys,

It has been rather wet and miserable here for the last few days - but the garden has appreciated it (especially as we have laid turf at the weekend). Not so nice for the blue tits and their babies, but it seems that the nest box has kept them pretty dry, thankfully. I am so excited to see the little ones fledge as this is the first time the nest box has been used!

Anyway, there is a new challenge starting today over at MAWTT, and I decided to use the IkesArt progressive challenge image to make a card that matched the theme (unfortunately I was so pleased I could do it in black and white I completely forgot the fact that the challenge ended last week!!)

Here it is:
I simply fussy cut the image but didn't colour it. I added it to a background that was in my stash with embossed pattern on the back. The stamp was from a free gift stamp set and I embossed using Papermania embossing powder. Finally I layered the panel onto a plain white base card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Country View - Opposites (Black and White)
ikesworld #120 E for Embossing
The Library Challenge #32 All creatures great and small
Addicted to CAS #158 Contrast
MTTC #396 CAS

I also have some pictures to share with you - the first is this beautiful butterfly:

Anything Goes @ Creative Moments

We have a new challenge starting today at Creative Moments. We are sponsored by Decosse for this one, and I have used From the kit Pond life - Frog silouette for my card.
Décosse's Dynamite Doodles

I used the patterned paper for the inside of the card. The front was trimmed with an edging border and some embossed acetate added to make it up to the correct size. I added birthday sentiments - changing happy to hoppy.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
library challenge #32 All Creatures Great and Small
MMM #95 Wings (butterflies on the acetate)
TIOT - Things with wings
alphabet challenge - C for CAS
MTTC #396 CAS
Notjustcards - Anything Goes

Birthday Layers

Hi guys,

I made a birthday card with many layers for the last Addicted to stamps challenge - then realised I had missed the deadline. Damn this new in-links that just says 'closes in a month'! How can I know when that is, if it is not exact? Grr.

Anyway here is the card:
So I started with a pale blue base card. I then took some stripy holographic navy paper and distressed the top edge. I layered a piece of pale blue card, that matched the base card, onto this and stamped the branch and sentiment. I took some pearlescent pink card and stamped some flowers, not reinking the stamp between for the faded effect. I added some candi to the centre of the flowers and then layered this over the main panel. I then layered an embossed black strip down the side. Finally I added peel-off balloons, and birthday stickers.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Addicted-to-stamps #174 Flowers (thankfully my card still makes the theme)
dragonflydreams - Anything Goes
intaas #57 Birthday
daringcardmakers #100 Elemental inspiration (texture - iridescence - flowers)
C4C482 Use your scraps
Simon Says Wednesday - Happy Birthday
CRAFT #511 Distress your project

And some of the inverts I got at the Halifax show at the end of March:

Unfortunately we have lost a couple for reasons unknown, but the majority are doing well.

Feminine @ Aud Sentiments

Hi guys,

I am so sorry I am late with my post. I had to be up extra early for work this morning and forgot to get it all sorted before I left!! However, it is here now, and better late than never as they say.

Our new challenge theme at Aud Sentiments is to make it feminine. We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiment Designs and I have used Tess Summer Fun.
The image was coloured with my Chameleon pens - I am getting used to them a little bit now lol. I decided to use the colours of the sky in my little lady to compliment the flowers. I die-cut the image using X-cut nesting scalloped circle die. I used an embossing folder inked with papermania coral ink to have a letterpress effect on the card base, before adding my image. Finally I added a purple sentiment to the top - I was going to add it above the image, but couldn't get it to fit right, so it went to the top instead.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
AYLI - Flowers or Ribbon - Flowers as they are so much easier to add onto a card
ColorDare #339 Tic-tac-toe (top row and middle column)
Die-cuttin' Divas #418 Anything Goes
modsquad - Mother's Day
CuteCardThursday #580 Anything Goes

I thought I would share some pictures from my nature cam in the garden today:

Yup  the crow knocked the camera over! Little terror!
