Floral Kitties

I have a quick post for you today - I am having to be quick as I have order of service cards to make!! And they are taking a long time for each part, so quick breaks in between (but they will look stunning, I hope). Here is an ATC I made:

I used an adhesive rose embellishment, backing paper and die-cut kitties to make this ATC, all of which I received from the lady I made this for.

In case you are wondering, yes I have snow here - but there was much more out at work. The rabbit appears to be enjoying jumping in the little drifts, and letting her feet sink into them too lol.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CityCrafter #401 Die-cuts
Animal Friends #59 Stripes and/or dots
CCM #206 Floral Delight
modsquad - Animal Fun

And here are some cute mice (they are getting old now):

Thanks for looking - now gotta run!

Icy Christmas Doggie

Hi there,

It has gone cold here in South Wales again - proper February weather! Just perfect for making a Christmas card :). I am supposed to be making 100 order of services for 2 weeks time, and have got OH's parents coming to visit for the next week, oops. Will have to get a wiggle on me thinks lol.

But first, here is my most recent Christmas card:
I used a crafters companion create-a-card die with snowflakes on a pearlescent blue base card. I stamped a Pepper & Friends into the aperture and coloured with watercolour pencils. I added a peel-off sentiment in green and some foliage peel-offs. Finally, I added three little Christmas trees down the right side.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
just-hanna #291 Favourite Stamp (I do love the Pepper and Friends crew)
ABC Christmas - C for Clean
sweet stampin' Christmas - Anything Goes

Winter Wonderland - Anything Goes
 inkspirational #154 Aperture

Deep Ocean #175 Cute and Cuddly

modsquad - Animal Fun
Cute Card Thursday #518 Cute Critters
 craftyhazelnuts #373 Use some green

Here are my received goodies from the recent ATC exchange:

Check back to see what I make with them!

Vampirella for Creative Moments Fairy Tales

And now to let you all know about our new challenge at Creative Moments too! We have a really fun twist this time, which is Fairy Tales.

Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are

Who is offering 2 images to the winner

Who is offering the same digis as the DT choice

Who is offering 3 images to the winner

I have used an image from MMedelIllustartions, well actually two images - Vampirella and Sea Elements for my Fairy Tale.
I coloured Vampirella with Papermania Sparkle Pens and Promarkers, and the treasure chest from the Sea Elements just with the sparkle pens. I fussy cut the treasure chest and added a wavy border to Vampirella using my cutter from hobbycraft. I added these to a small purple card, with the treasure chest over the vampire using 3D foam pads. I then added alphabet rub-ons for the sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
polkadoodle wk7 - New Beginnings (The start of a Fairy Tale)
notjustcards - Anything Goes

On the same day I got the wagtail picture, I also managed to get these little Sparrows:

Thank you for taking the time to look, and I can't wait to see your takes on the twist (or any other creations) over at Creative Moments,

Sweet Dreams - Anything Goes @ I Love Promarkers

Hiya everybody - we have a new challenge over at I Love Promarkers today, and it is a nice easy one for you all - ANYTHING GOES!  All you need to dois make sure you use your markers on there, and if it is not obvious do let us know how you have used them :)

We are sponsored by the lovely Dr Digi's House Of Stamps

The Prize for the lucky winner is
 2 Digi Images

I have used 40 winks for my unusual birthday card:

The image was coloured in Promarkers - March Hare/Morning Mist/Cool Grey 2/Gold/Spice/Yellow/Fuschia Pink/April Showers/Pastel Blue/Cobalt Blue/Azure/Wild Cranberry/Warm Grey 5/Tawny Owl/Cool Grey 1/Lavender/Soft Peach/Apple/Pink Mittens/Blue Pearl

I simply cut the image into a square and used a highly patterned base card (wallpaper!!). To finish I added peel-off sentiments and some presents with a balloon.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Country View #60 Anything BUT cute
AYLI - Fav way to add a sentiment (I like peel-offs as they are quick to use, easy to line up and can be personalised if you have alpahbet stickers too).

I made some curried potatoes the other day, and they were lovely. The picture does not do them justice though:
I also tried to get a fun picture of a pied wagtail that was doing a little flap dance with his food - but somebody just walked straight towards him as I was there with my camera in plain sight (no sorry either! grr), but I did manage to get this photo:

Thank you for looking,
Can't wait to see what you make for our challenge this time!

Winter birdie ATC

Hi there,

We are doing themed months in the ATC group I am part of, and for January the theme was Winter. Here is what I made for the theme:

I used bits that came in the parcel from the person who will be receiving the ATC, to make it more personal, even though it was a bit of a challenge. Then I added the foam snowflake and diamantes.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
modsquad - Winter theme
Animal Friends #59 Stripes/Dots
A snowflakes promise #48 Anything Goes

I also have some more birdies to share with you = this time baby beau (blue) and Florance:

She noticed the cupboard door was ajar and wanted to know what was inside there lol.

Fairy Friends @ Aud Sentiments

Hi guys,

It is time to tell you about our new challenge theme over at Aud Sentiments.
Challenge #197
The theme for this challenge is For A Friend.  You can make any type of project you want as long as you include a sentiment that matches the theme.
Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up

I have used Fairy magic for my card today, and I have gone for a more fussy effect than usual:
I coloured the image using Promarkers inpastel shades and then die-cut using X-cut large oval nesting dies. I die-cut the sentiment onto pink glitter card using a Signature sentiment die. I layered these onto a Papermania Geometric collection base card and then layered fabric and aper flowers to the bottom of the card, and felt butterflies to the top. Finally I added a Friends peel-off in gold to accent the gold in the base card.

I would lke to enter this creation into the following challenges:
PFP 431 Add an embellishment
CRAFT 455 Mother's Day/Female
AYLI - Fav way to add a sentiment - I like to add a sentiment as a statement to the front of the card because I think it draws the recipient in.
Fussy and Fancy #205 Flowers Lace and Pearls (The lace is on one of the butterflies, but is difficult to see in the photo)
Simply Create Too #135 Fav colour combination - Spring for me is the colour of pastels (with a hint of gold for the strengthening sun too).
dragonfly dreams - Flowers

Thank you for looking and I cannot wait to see what you create,

Hugz Tinz

Final Calendar Design

OK so now I am going to share the last of the calendars I made for this year. I used the precoloured version of Winter Bird House by Sparkle & Sprinkle . You may remember I used this image earlier in the year for a Creative Moments DT creation, but this time I used the pre-coloured instead of colouring myself:

I used pearlescent card for the background and punched a hole to hang the calendar. I also used a corner punch for the top corners, just for a bit of extra interest. I die-cut the image using X-cut large labels dies and then just added the tab to the bottom - nice and simple.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
A snowflakes promise - Anything Goes
CASology #287 Together

I have also started on my dinosaur height chart again and here it is so far:
Thanks for looking - I now have to head back out to work - in the cold and dark :(

Year of fishing

We have actually had sun today - and a bit of snow too - but actual sun!! It was really nice to have a bit of time for the ground to dry out, but of course it will probably rain again tomorrow anyway lol. We decided to make the most of the sun and go to a local nature reserve - Magor Marsh. A very handsome Otter decided to come out and have a little fish on the lake in front of us - I was extreely excited as I have not seen one actually free, in the wild, before! Unfortunately I had forgotten to take my camera :(

Anyway, I was asked to make a desk calendar for a male, but it wanted to stay small as it was to go on a small desk. This is what I came up with:

I used Pepper and Friends rub-on transfers with a fishing theme, and even added one to the first of the calendar pages. To make the calender stand up there was a sheet of card across the bottom, two-thirds the length of the main panels, that I folded in the middle and stuck to both sides, which ensured that the calendar would still fold flat for posting, but would not fall over when sitting on the desk.

I would like to enter this desk calendar into the following challenges:
CASology #286 Butterfly (on the calendar tab)
The Male Room #78 Inspired by television (the men do seem to like watching the fishing programmes)
Animal Friends #59 Stripes or Dots (ok I have taken a liberty here, but there are dots on the calendar)
notjustcards - anything goes

I also have a Fawn update - 38hrs and counting:
Thank you for looking,

Hugz Tinz

Loving Friend ATC

Oh it is incredibly wet today! I thought we were supposed to be getting a bit of proper Winter weather in the UK, but apparently only a couple of days is enough - then back to wet and cold!! Grrrr. I am currently watching Mr Blackbird in the garden though - he is certainly makig the most of the wet weather. I guess it helps when the householder pops soe mealworms out in the garden for him to eat as well though lol. Just hoping that little miss Thrush also decides to join us as I haven't seen her for a few weeks now.

Anyway, still in the love theme for February it was mine turn to choose a theme for our ATC's this month. I am trying to use the stash that I receive from each lady to make the ATC to send back to them, and so this is what I created this time round:

I used white card cut to 3.5x2.5" as is standard for an ATC. I then stamped two hearts at angles onto this card, using blue pretty colour ink. The stamp was a free gift with a magazine and I adn't used it before so thought this was a good opportunity. I then used some vellum that I received to overlay these stamps. (This was the only part of the received goodies that I used on the ATC - but it is something lol - the other bits were either slightly too large, or didn't quite go, but I will make a card with those bits instead!).
The image is from a honey and hugs paper pad and I die-cut the owls from the patterned paper using the second smallest scalloped heart X-cut nesting die. I also cut a few more to send with the ATC. To finish I added a heart border peel-off and a heart to the centre of the image (which was from the border peel-off).
I would like to enter this ATC into the following challenges:
CCEE1806 Valentines Day
craftycatz #403 Love is in the air
Allsorts #454 Love is in the air
Simon Says Stamp, Monday - Love is in the air
C4C421 Love/Appreciation
citycrafter #398 Light as a feather
Simon Says Wednesday - It must be love
modsquad - have a heart
Catch the bug SSS603
TIOT - Love is in the air
MAWTT #64 Love
MTTC #364 Love is all we need
Deep Ocean #174 Love is all around
cute as a button #41 Spring

We went out for a walk last weekend and saw some lovely Tufted Ducks on one of the lakes! Not great photos as I do not have a zoom lens but here they are:

They are so handsome! We also saw a Gadwall pair but I didn't get a photo of them.

Under the Weather? @ Creative Moments

So now onto our new challenge over at Creative Moments (and then bed for me I think - after my 1am into work for a rota'd experimental check-up, and then back in at 8am!). As always you can play Anything Goes, but our optional twist this time is:
February 10th is National Umbrella day, show us some weather on your card. February 1st  was world compliment day, so add a sentiment to your card

So yes - two twists to play this time!

Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are

My besties who is offering 3 images for the winner
Knitty Kitty Digis who is offering 3 images for the winner
Lia Stampz Shop who is offering the same digi's as the DT choice
Scribbles Who is offfering a Prize $10 worth of images – DOES NOT INCLUDE DIGITAL PAPERS

I have played along with  My Besties - IMG673:
I used a fancy base card and coloured the image with watercolour pencils. I used a siple rectangle for the image due to the busy background of the card. I then added a printed sentiment and two floral wooden butterflies also. As you can see I chose to go with an umbrella for umbrella day, with an image that is raining love :) We cannot wait to see what you all come up with for the challenge - it is getting harder and harder to choose favourites!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday - Love is in the Air (quite literally lol)
modsquad - have a heart
CCM #204 Get inky/Messy (Use of watercolours)
TIOT - Love is in the air
Fussy and Fancy #204 Fussy and Fancy
Dragonfly Dreams - flowers

Thank you for looking once again - I will have some more update photos for you all soon!
