First DT post for Aud Sentiments - For a boy

So it is my first post as a member of the Aud Sentiments Design Team (DT). I hope you will enjoy seeing my creations for this challenge blog, and also decide to pop along and join us in the crafting fun. The theme for challenge #162 is For the Men - and don't forget to add your sentiment. We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - pop over to the challenge blog to see what they are offering.

I used the sponsor image of Gus Fish Whisperer. He is such a fun guy - grumpy even with a catch of the day lol.

I layered the matching sentiment with the image in Microsoft Word and change the colour to blue. Once printed I coloured Gus with Promarkers in various neutral tones, as this is usually what the men seem to wear for going fishing. The fsh does have an iridescent cast to it as I used pastel colours on a silver metallic background, but it is not evident from this photo. I then die-cut the image using X-cut nesting Large Label dies. I inked the edges in blue. I layered a water-like patterned paper to a square base card, and then matted a mint green floral embossed paper onto white card, and layered into the centre of the card, before mounting Gus to one side. To finish I added a tuft of grass in the form of a button. All of this, apart from the image, were from my stash.

I would like to also enter this card into the following challenges:
Glitter 'n' Sparkle #201 Anything Goes
My Time to Craft #327 Embossing
Digi Chooseday - Anything Goes
Country View #42 Hot summer days
Crafty Calender - Summer Fun
I also have another mouse introduction for you this evening - meet Rex. Yup she has Rex-like fur and is the sister to Ruby, and another daughter of Silky. She is more cautious than her two sisters, but still loves to pay out and have some attention. She also does not nibble as much as some of the other girlies do!

She was refusing to have her picture taken - everytime I got the camera out she would duck back under the covers, so that is why the picture is only of her head lol.

A local Wildlife Trust site currently has a Wooly Trail, which me and the hubby walked the other day (mainly because my crochet bluebird should have been there - but we didn't see it) and so keep your eyes peeled for my furture blog posts where I will start to include some of the wooly creatures we found on our walk!

Thanks for looking,

Hugz Tinz
