Monochromatic Growth for Dad

Well the weather has certainly turned hasn't it? We have had an exceptionally dry April and now it hasn't stopped raining since late last night! The plants and ground really needed it though, and the little babies on the pond appreciated some extra seed tonight as there are few people out and feeding them :D.

I have made a floral card for Father's Day - an unusual combination I know, but I used Dragonflies instead of butterflies, and kept the look very masculine, with seed heads and pointed flowers.

I used a pre-highlighted base card and stamped images from my wildflower stamp set free in a magazine with VersaMark ink and heat embossed in silver. I then layered some pointy die-cut flowers in black and white with a silver gem centre. Finally I added a sentiment in silver on white.
I then added a Dad specific sentiment to the inside of the card.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenges:
Not Just Cards #44 One for the boys
CCEE1719 Wildflowers
ATSM #241 Anything Goes
As you like it - Favourite Die (I have chosen my floral dies because they are very versatile, but there are so many dies that I love using it was a hard choice).
MTTC #345 Masculine
CCM #188 Add a sentiment

I have some pictures from the garden to share with you:
Making the best use of a paddling pool!
My cauldrons are refusing to actually grow!!
 Ladybird lettuce lol
 Pansy's in a bucket
Wormery spud!

I also thought you might like to see my recent finished jigsaw! This one was great fun to do.

I haven't written the book review yet, but it is coming lol.
