Christmas in June (well it is nearly July)

 Hey everyone,

We have a new challenge started today over at I Love Promarkers, with the optional theme of having a stencilled background. I did cheat a little as my stencil is only in the corner, but I couldn't find my brick wall one I wanted to use.

I coloured the images with a combination of promarkers and chameleon pens. I had printed the images so that the card could be folded. I then stencilled the bells using versamark ink and embossing powders.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SimonSaysWed - Anything Goes
PFP #696 Holidays
inkspirational #292 emboss your background

SimplyLessisMoore #486 Anything Goes
ChristmasCraftCreations - heat embossing

We'll mouse you!

I made a leaving card for a friend at work. I saw the image on somebody else's blog and I just had to get them for myself as this one was perfect.

The image is from Last Minute Manda and is available here.

I coloured the image using watercolour markers and then cut into the tag shape. I layered onto a purple vellum. I added a blue stripe to the centre of a white 6x6" card, and then added brads to finish.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sparkle fairy

 Hi all,

Sorry for the late post for my DT creation. I have been away for a few days and haven't been able to access the internet fully. However here it is for our sparkle challenge option over at I Love Promarkers.

I layered several papers onto different backing cards before placing onto the square card base. May of these had glitter as part of their pattern. I matted the image onto pink card after colouring.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
SimonSaysWednesday - Lots of Layers
alphabetchallenge - F for flying

Masculine for June

 Hi all,

We have a new challenge started over at Creative Moments, and as Father's Day is this month here in the UK we have chosen the optional theme of men or boys.

Our sponsor is Polkadoodles and I have used a discontinued image of theirs that was in my stash.

I coloured the image using my chameleon pens. I layered this onto an inked pink panel to match the guitar. I finally layered the panel onto blue card and added a 21 key and a sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SOS #498 let's hear it for the boys
AYLI - Pastels or Brights - I much prefer using bright colours as I find they make the images pop
MTTC #509 Masculine
SimonSaysMonday - Masculine
PFP #693 For a man or boy
CRAFT #680 Masculine
allsorts #732 Birthdays

I also finally have a new book review to share with you!

Schooled by Ted Fox

Jack Parker went from being a highly successful businessman, to a laughing stock overnight when he accidentally burnt his workplace down procrastinating over having to fire some good staff. He has since become a very good stay-at hoe dad with a highly successful wife. Six years on and his oldest is starting ‘big’ school, and Jack comes face-to-face with his high school nemesis Chad Henson. Chad has always cheated his way to the top, not caring who he beats down in the process. This gives Jack his competitive streak back as he decides he cannot let Chad become the president of the parents committee due to his lax ethical views. Classroom politics is much more cut-throat the Jack realises and it makes him stop to look at his own life, and what role he wants to play.

This is a fun and light-hearted look at life. It shows how you can get stuck in a rut and that can make it difficult to find who you want to be when the opportunity presents itself, without causing upheaval to the current structure. A good holiday read.

Masculine make

 Hi guys,

Our new challenge started on Thursday over at MAWTT. We are sorry for the delay in returning to the challenges but hope that you can join us for this new challenge - and also perhaps consider joining our design team?

I used a patterned paper from my stash (no idea what paper stack this is from). I then simply added some stick on diamantes and stamped a sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CraftyCalendar - Summertime
613AvenueCreate #6 Good old Summertime
CountryView - vintage (I think the sails have a vintage feel to them)
TIOT - make it masculine
TheCardConcept #196 patriotic picnic

Land Before Time Inspired

Sorry for my late post. We had a new challenge start over at I Love Promarkers on Wednesday with the optional theme of Inspired by a Film.

The image seems to be discontinued as I am unable to find it in the Paper Nest Dolls store :(.

I coloured this image using a mixture of promarkers and chameleon markers and unfortunately the yellow and blue blend in the party hats is not very obvious in the photo. I then fussy cut the image and layered onto a leafy patterned paper that had been die-cut with a stitched square die for the Works. To finish I added a flower to the girls hat, some 3D flower stickers to the bottom and a peel-off sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
PFP #692 Make it Square
AYLI - Pastels or Brights - I like to use a combination of both, with an emphasis on bright colours
