Glitter Kitty

Hey guys,

I need to increase my stash of birthday cards, so I made this sparkly little number:

I used glitter cardstock to make the base card. I then stamped the Millie and Friends image onto a peach oval (X-cut nesting large oval die). I added a 'Celebrate' peel-off and made an arch over the top with diamantes. I then added some papermania paper flowers, with purple diamantes to the centre.

I would like to add this into the following challenges:
CCEE2012 Celebration
Allsorts #564 Anything in the animal kingdom
SOS #416 Happy Birthday (Stamp and paper flowers)
SUYP #52 Furrything Goes

Butterflies doubled up

Hi guys,

I decided to have a go at making two completely different cards using a butterfly die I had in my stash (I think it was a free gift with a magazine).

I created a CAS general card and a more layered New Home card.

The pair are being entered into the following challenges:
Twofer card challenge #25 Spring animals

This more layered card was created on a classic blue base card (the Pantone colour of 2020). I used glitter washi tape to make the banner. I then took some patterned papers from my scrap box (meaning that I have no idea what brand it is) and used this along with the die-cut (cut on X-cut glitter self-adhesive paper) a washi tape circle and the sentiment topper to layer the card according to the AHSC sketch.
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
TIOT - Home Sweet Home

For my CAS card I used the same glitter paper for the die-cut, but then I added this on its own and simply stamped the sentiment firstly in grey and then in black ink. I heat embossed over the black ink using a red (cherry scented) embossing powder.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SimplyLessisMoore #415 Colour challenge

Springtime @ Aud Sentiments

It is time for a new challenge over at Aud Sentiments - and this one is all about Easter (or Spring if you do not celebrate Easter). We want to see all those cheerful creations during this stressful period - lets brighten up our days.

For this challenge we are sponsored by the lovely Polkadoodles and I have used their Tulip Darling image for my card.

I coloured the image using Promarkers - Cool Grey 3, Frosted Leaf, astel Yellow, Summer Sun, Lime Zest, Emerald, Green, Marine, Crimson, Bright Orange and Peach.

I then kept the colour theme by using a peach base card with an oval aperture cut using X-cut nesting large oval dies. I added matching ribbon bows to the corners and then a peach sentiment topper.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
DigiDoodleStudios #25 Ribbon/Lace
dragonflydreams - Make it feminine
AYLI - Spring or Easter - I personally don't celebrate Easter so Spring cards will always be my favourite from these two.
ThePaperPlayers #482 CAS Spring Flowers

Flying things @ I Love Promarkers

Hi guys

Firstly I hope you are all safe and coping with the current upheaval we seem to be going through!

We have a new challenge for you over at I Love Promarkers, with the optional theme of things that fly. Our lovely sponsor is:  Knitty Kitty Digis.

I have used Snow Scene No 57, and here is my card combining all the images from the set:

I coloured the images using the following promarkers - Slate, Plum Preserve, Mint Green, Pastel Beige, Dusky Pink, dusky Rose, Carmine, Ice Grey 3, Pine, Pale Pink, Cool Grey 1, Mustard and Soft Green.

I then fussy cut each of the images individually. I took an aperture base card and removed the inner fold, ripping it to make icy hills. I layered the images together using the aperture and the hills to create my fun snowy scene. I then added some stickers to finish.

I would like to add this card into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
ikesworld #130 O for out of comfort zone (this is so not something I usually do lol)
MMM #118 Something Tropical (Flamingos are tropical aren't they?)
AlphabetChallenge - Y for Youngsters
inkspirational #208 Animal
catchthebug - Things with wings

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
ThePaperPlayers #482 CAS spring flowers

Vintage cars

Hi guys,

I have a postcard to share with you today:

I printed the border from a Crafter's Companion CD-Rom as I wanted some symmetry to my design. I then used distress inks in Scattered Straw and Evergreen Bough to create a grassy bank inside the frame. The vintage car is from the Hunkydory cars and vehicles topper pad, and I just fussy cut it from the scene. Finally I added a sentiment sticker,

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
SundayPostcardArt - Vintage Cars
SimonSaysMonday - A bit o green
modsquad - wheels
CCM #252 Green

I also have some legs to share with you :D

This is Herr Flick my new Lasiadora Klugi.

And this is Wookie my new Tittlocatl albopilosus (he is a little cutie and he loves his cannon that he has in his enclosure).

Button it up @ Creative Moments

Another late post!! I have been sorting the garden out today as it has been quite dry for a change!

However, we did have a new challenge start this morning over at Creative Moments with the optional twist of adding some buttons. One of our sponsors is SheepSki Designs and I have used Cornflowers for my card.

I coloured this with some multicoloured crayons I got a while back and have never used, which I think have worked quite well. I then die-cut with X-cut oval nesting dies and added to a large label die-cut floral paper. These were then placed on a patterned base card. Finally I added leaf buttons and a flower and bird button.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
IkesWorld #130 O for Out of comfort zone (colouring with crayons)
SOS #415 Is it summer yet?
TIOT - Try a new technique (colouring with crayons)
AYLI - Fav flower - cornflower because it is so delicate but grows so easily and has a very bright colour
Daring Cardmakers - Elemental inspiration (flowers, heavy patterned yellow background, blues, circles (O))
