The base card was from a nautical set free with Quick Cards Magazine. I layered torn pieces onto the bottom of the card and inked the edge with crushed sapphire to emphasise the waves. I then cut a boat and flag from typed paper (specially for crafting I think - it was in a pack I got from a charity shop). I used thread for the flag mast. I cute the owl base from gold glitter card, and then used double sided red card to cut the pieces. I used one side for the wings, feet and beak tip, as well as the eye pupils. I then used the opposite side of the paper for the main eyes and the beak. Finally I hand-wrote the sentiment.
