Anything Goes @ Aud Sentiments

Hi there,

We have a new challenge starting today over at Aud Senntiments, and it is another nice easy one for you. The theme is simply Anything Goes and we are sponsored by We Are 3, who provided a range of papers, tags and digi stamps for the DT to use.

Here is what I came up with, using only the digital elements (Seaside Anchor, TeaTags and Sweet Sounds paper pack) and colouring pens, oh and a blitter flower from papermania:

I edited the tag before layering it over the backing paper, before printing out. The anchor I printed separately. I coloured the images with Papermania watercolour markers (and a gold metallic pen). I then fussy cut the anchor and added it to the card base, and added a blitter flower to the tag.

Now onto the book review:

Virals by Kathy Reiches.

This is very different from her usual books with Tempe Brennan. This book is about Tempes niece who has had to go and live in a very remote location with her father, who did not even know she existed until she was deposited with him, after her mother’s death. Tory looks up to her aunt and is very pleased when she finds the opportunity to use a gift she received from her Aunt for Christmas – an excavation set. She believes she has found the burial ground for a missing person, but what they find is much more dangerous than this. Not only does Tory and her ‘team’ end up scared for their lives, they also have something wrong with them, but they are not sure what, how or why!

This has all the usual dramatism we have come to expect from Kathy Reiches, and although it is more fictional and set to a younger audience, the premise is still based on fact, and the detail required to keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing is still present too. If you want something a little more light-hearted, but still well within the thriller category, then I would recommend this series of books for sure.
