Winter Birthday

I really do wish the weather would figure out it is supposed to be winter - I am so sick of the rain now! My garden is just a big boggy sludgy mud flat lol.

So to make me feel better I decided to make a postcard for a Winter birthday, using some Christmas patterned paper from Marianne Designs as the base.

I stamped the acorns from a Winter Wonderland free stamp set, then stamped them again onto scrap paper. I fussy cut the image on scrap paper and used it as a mask. I then stamped the house image over the top. I coloured the image using watercolour pencils from WHSmiths and finished by stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set in Pretty Colour blue ink.

    Masking is always so cool, gives great results and the fiddling around with scissors when fussy cutting is something I so enjoy hahaha. Lovely card and beautifully created xxx
