Sentiment @ MAWTT

Hi guys,

It is time for a new challenge from Team A at MAWTT, and the lovely Diane is our host for this one. She has chosen the nice easy theme of adding a sentiment to whatever you choose to create and share with us.

Here is what I came up with:
The image is from IkesArt and was January's progresive challenge image, which I then coloured with Promarkers. I printed the base card from my House Mouse CD-Rom as I thought the pattern was perfect with the little baby ice hung in stockings on the washing line! I also used one of the sentiments and just edited it slightly to match. Finally I added a campagne bottle for the celebration and a cute dragonfly, just because I could :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
CRAFT #499 Anything Goes
C4C468 Celebrate

Can't wait to see what you come up with too!!

Llama Drama

One of the sponsors for the current challenge over at Creative Moments was Dr Digi. We have split into two teams, so I didn't make a card for this one - however I did have one in mind (time ran away from me) and I want to share it with you today, as well as encouraging you to pop along and join in the challenge (and see what the lovely DT created too)!

This was really easy to create too - take a pink A5 card blank and fold along the score line. Using Creative Dies floral star free gift die-cut some olographic gold card. Print the image (Alice the Alpaca) and colour using Promarkers. Then fussy cut the image. Add the sentiment using gold ink and your finished!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Die-cuttin' divas #405 Anything Goes
The Male Room #103 Nature
notjustcards - Anything Goes
ikesworld #116 Animals

Glass Birthday Wishes

Hi guys,

I have been printing images from my House Mouse CDRom, and here is one of the cards I have created so far with the images:

I followed the sketch as detailed below, and used a variety of digital papers that I had previously printed and had in my stash. I know the butterfly borders were from a Quick Cards CDRom, but I am not 100% sure about the silouette. I think it was a crafters companion one. I just simply layered them all together, and as one of the papers was sentimental I didn't need to add anything else.

I would like to enter this card int the fllowing challenges:
Dragonfly Dreams - Anything Goes
The Card Concept #107 Rainbow Cupcakes (sweet things and variety of colours) Clean and Layered

Daring Cardmakers - Lots of colour
 C4C468 Celebrate

I also want to share a film review with you guys. Me and hubby went to see Glass last week, which is the third is a series of superhero films. I have not seen either of the first two, and ubby had not seen the second one. However, you can watch the film without having seen either of the first two, and it is still very interesting. It just takes a little longer to grasp what is going on initially. It is a very well made film with good camera and acting skills employed to create the effects, rather than relying on CGI for everything. I would say it is well worth watching if you like your superhero/action hero style films, or even if you just like good cinematography.

I will leave you with a slightly out-of-date picture of my dinos, and I will try to find my more recent one to share with you later:

Any Sentiment Goes @ Aud Sentiments

Hello and welcome back for our first challenge of the year at Aud Sentiments! (OK it would be helpful if I scheduled my posts correctly, but it is here now!) Our first challenge back is an easy one - Anything Goes, just remember to use a sentiment on your creation (which does not have to be a card, it can be anything craft related).

Our sponsor for this challenge is -Digi Stamps 4 Joy - and I have used The 'O' look for my creation as I loved the umourous effect of the image. Unfortunately the sponsor is shutting down their store, so do pop along and grab yourself a bargain while you still can. There are some fabulous images.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then cut against the outline. I created a card base from KRAFT card. I used a topper sentiment from my stash, as I thought it mtched the image so well. Finally I die-cut the sentiment from gld mirri card to match the elegance of the sentiment.

Die is from Joanna Sheen.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
ikesworld #116 Animals
The Male Room #103 Nature
inkspirational #178 Use Kraft
Cute Card Thursday #566 Critters
CASology #328 Smile

Love@I Love Promarkers

Hi guys,

Our new DT theme at I Love Promarkers is LOVE. As you can see over at the challenge blog the DT have had some very different ideas for this one.

The sponsor for this challenge is Digi Doodle Studios, and I have used SecretCrush:
I took a patterned base card and die-cut a heart from the centre. I coloured the image with Promarkers (as required for the challenge) and then die-cut with a stitched square and adhered to the inside behind the heart. Finally I die-cut the sentiment from red mirri card.

Promarkers - Slate, Winter Berry, Amethyst, Metallic Silver, Cool Grey 5, Caramel, Peach, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Dusky Pink, Pink Carnation, Crimson, Lime Green, Sky Blue, Summer Sun and Gold

Dies - X-cut scalloped heart nesting dies; M&C stitched square nesting dies; Joanna Sheen 'with love' sentiment die.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
SimplyCreateToo #145 Anything Goes
intaas #50 Choose a movie (Love Actually)
SimonSaysWednesday - have a heart
ATSM #325 Photo Inspiration

We hope to see you joining in with our challenge, which lasts for two weeks,

Musical celebrations

Hi there,

I had this CD put to one side for a while but kept forgetting to use it, so I finally anaged to remember, and came up with a birthday card using House Mouse images from my CD-Rom. I am sure evrybody has some old CD's somewhere that no longer work - my advice would be to clen the fingerprints off before taking a potograph though! oops.

Wen I got the card blank out I noticed there was a hole cut from the centre already. Well the design sheet tht I had printed had several different ideas of the same image. The hole in the card helped me decide which version I wanted to use. So I overlapped the hole with the CD, and placed a circular image in the centre. I die-cut the other image using X-cut scalloped circle die.

I used the mini card to adorn the top of the CD and wrote a brief sentiment inside, and then layered up with flowers and a butterfly. There is a handmade paper flower created using a Creative Dies spiral flower die.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafting by Design - corners, borders and frames (the CD frames the central image)
polkadoodle - Winter Birthday (doughnuts seem to be a staple in winter)
MMM #88 Winter Birthday
MTTC #388 Winter Birthday

Kitty in a Cup

Hi guys,

I did a little bit of decoupaging using my teacup kitty set that I have had for quite a while. I have to cut each part out individually and most times when I am crafting I only have a short amount of time, so tend to avoid these. Therefore, I decided I really must play with one.

I didn't do all the layers as I didn't think it needed it, and it gives me a second image to build up also.

I used one of my new polkadot base cards and the birthday kitty. I cut the layers and then decided which to layer together, using fom pads beween the layers. I cut the sentiment from the same sheet. I die cut some balloons using a Creative Dies stitched balloon die on various patterned papers, and layered them onto the balloons on the image.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
SUYP #38 Meuw year
intaas #49 cats/dogs
TIOT - Something old...something new
Die Cuttin' Divas #403 Birthday

Here are some photos from Slimbridge from last month:

How many ways to use an owl?

Hi there everybody.

Today I have a selection of mini cards to show you that go inside my notecard holder I made previously.  I used one die set for all the cards, but in two different ways - so three of each design. I wanted them to be humourous but useable for any occassion.

Here they all are together :) Very different designs, with the owl obvious in the one, but obscure in the second.
So for this one I used just the owl outline die with blue patterned paper, to create some waves (I did cut the ears off though!). To give the effect of foam I went around the edges of the waves with blue glitter glue pen. I used Nuvo drops to draw the birds, and a gold paint pen to write the punny sentiment :).

This one uses the die in a more obvious way on KRAFT card. I then also used the die with all the inside parts of the owl, cutting both black glitter and watercolour effect cream papers. I layered the pieces to create the owl.

I would like to enter this collection into the following challenges:
dragonflydreams - Anything Goes
Simply Less is Moore #386 Water (top card only)
C4C466 Humourous

I also know it is a little late, but I thought I ould share some more of my Christmas photos with you all :D

Thanks for looking (yes Piggy got his own decorations :D)

Happy Elf

I have managed to get my card done for the Limited Runs Progressive challenge within the time frame provided! Challenge is open until 13th :D

Here is what I came up with (I had an envelope and needed a card to fit it).

I colured him with promarkers and then used an X-cut nesting oval die. I used the large labels die to cut a pice of white card and then staped the season's greetings sentiment using red pretty colour ink. I took a piece of black glitter card, cut to size and folded before adding the elements to the front.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
ABC Christmas - A for Anything Christmas
Scrapbook Stamp Society #155 Christmas
Die-cuttin' Divas #402 Glitter or Foil (Glitter background)

Thanks so much for looking!

Hiya guys,

Our first challenge of 2019 starts today over at I Love Promarkers, with an optional theme (as the challenge is an Anything Goes one) of something new. This culd be new stash or a creation for a new venture. It could even be a calendar!

This challenge is sponsored by Dr Digi'sHouse Of Stamps and I have used Gnome Sweet Gnome on my card.

I used a country diary patterned paper for the background, coloured the image with Promarkers and then die-cut using a stitched square M&C nesting die, coloured the peel-off letters to make the sentiment and added them to the card front.

I did make a list of the Promarkers I used but I now cannot find where I put that list grrrr.

A load of coffee @ Creative Moments

Happy New Year to all our followers! It is time for our first challenge of 2019 over at Creative Moments and I am sure the eagle eyed among you will have realised that it is not Wednesday today, and yes our posting dates have now changed to 7th and 22nd of each month.

Another new element to our challenge blog is that we will not be having any twists, so all our challenges are Anything Goes. I used the Coffee image from our sponsor Scribbles. I layered it onto Kraft card (after die-cutting both pieces with X-cut nesting lrge labels dies). I coloured the coffee cup with Promarkers. To finish I added a flower and some gems and used Crushed Straw distressed ink arund the egde of the card.

We cannot wait to see what you have been creating :D.

Musical Birthday

Hiya everybody,

I am super excited to nnounce that I have been accepted to join the DT over at Moving Along With The Times (MAWTT). This is a fortnightly blog that goes live every other Thursday, with the first post of the year being today! Here is my first creation as part of the DT.

I used the negative die-cut on the Country Diary paper to cover a square base card. Due to the heavily patterned nature of the paper I simply added some peel-offs, in the form of bells, sentiment and birds and bees. I did also add a feather to the peacock tail.

You have probably noticed that the sentiment is purple - unfortunately I have yet to find peel-offs in a range of colours, so I had to resort to peel-off markers. I got these a few years ago for Christmas and they are brilliant!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday #563 Anything Goes
AYLI - Anything Goes
CMP - Blue theme

I also thought I should share my other musical creations with you, as they do fit the theme:
Aren't they fun!! They were kits from the Works, and they needed a bit of fiddling to get them to actually work, but they were worth it lol.

Thanks so much for looking,
