Hen pecking

Hi there,

I want to share my new creation for the latest image in the Limited Runs progressive challenge:

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then cut down to ATC size. I simply added a cute chick sentiment banner to finish the ATC - I thought this poor hen looked like she was being run ragged by some little chicks lol.

I would like to enter this little cutie into the following challenges:
Animal Friends #60 Easter
CCM #208 Bunnies, Chicks or Eggs (Chicks only in this one)
Deep Ocean #177 Easter/spring

My seedlings are really coming along now! Need to find somewhere to put them until it is warm enough for them outside! eek

Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend,

Easter Egg Painting with Aud Sentiments

Hi there,

Well it is Easter this weekend and so our new theme over at Aud Sentiments is to use an Easter - or Spring - sentiment.

Aud Sentiments Challenge BlogYou can make any type of project you want for this challenge such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, altered item, pocket letter, box, etc.  Just make sure you follow the theme and include a sentiment.

We are sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter

I have used Easter Amy for my card - it is such a cute image!
I coloured the image using the following promarkers - Metallic Purple/Icicle/Bluebell/Umber/Plum Preserve/Pine/Chestnut/Henna/Ice Grey 3/Lime Green/Lime Zest/Bright Orange/Blush/Warm Grey 4/Burnt Sienna/Tulip Yellow/Amethyst

I then die-cut using a plain square die and attached to one of those very patterned base cards! They are great for a bright Easter project lol. To tone down the card a little I added a Papermania dogstooth patterned flower with some green diamantes, and brown triangle patterned paper which I swiped an Ornage distress inkpad over before stamping the sentiment with Pretty Colour purple. The sentiment was from a musical themed stamp set by Kanban.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sweet Stampin' - Easter
CCM #208 Bunnies, Chicks or Eggs (I have chicks and eggs)
MMM #67 Easter Fun
Deep Ocean #177 Easter/Spring
TIOT - Mood Board (Birds and Flowers)

Animal Friends #60 Easter
 hanna and friends #292 Easter/Springtime

Doris saw me get the camera out earlier to try and get a photo of a strange black spider living in the shed (which had obviously done a runner by the time I got back in there), and so I HAD to take her picture!!
Oops - the door got in the way :P

Thanks for looking and we cannot wait to see your Easter or Springtime creations!

Young Pup

Hi guys,

Well I think Spring might actually be here - the daffodils are popping their heads out, the rain is here and the sun is getting warmer! The crows are loving playing with the rabbit toys - hang on...lol

Yup I have a fabric tunnel for the rabbit and apparently the crows have had a great time bouncing on it today - so much that at one point the hubby was worried they were trying to actually get at the rabbit (but she is actually too big for them). We now have a regular pair of wagtails to the garden - and the woodpeckers are back in the vacinity as we can here them tapping every evening. It is all very exciting. Only problem is my beas are not waiting for the weather to catch up and will need planting out in the not too distant future - as will my potatoes.

Anyway, I have a fun males birthday card to share with you today, using the first of the progressive challenge images for IkesArt:

I have even changed my watermark for the season :D

As you can see I am continuing to try using the very patterned card blanks I have in my stash, which I find so very hard to use. I layered some more masculine patterned paper onto the right side of the base and edged this with an orange Distress Ink pad. I coloured the image with Promarkers and then rounded the corners before attaching to the base. Finally I added a sentiment from an Anita's die-cut male sentiment sheet.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges also:
CCEE1812 Goof off
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
IAAS #29 Add humour

I would also like to share a Row Of Fairies update - but I do not have the time it is up to on me at the moment:
I will hopefully have some book reviews before too long - at the moment we are listening to the Dark Materials trilogy, so I will post a review of the audiobooks once we have listened to them all :)

Thanks for looking,

Shrinked bracelet

Well I told you I had another Shrink plastic project for my Technique in Focus over on facebook - it has just take me longer than anticipated to get a spare moment to pop it on here!!

So here is my shrink plastic bracelet:
So I stamped two steam-punk style stars onto shrink plastic using a blue Whispers ink pad. I did also stamp a kitty cat outline using a Tatty Teddy grey (this wasn't easy to see once shrunk down, which is why it wasn't used - I just discarded it!). Once the ink had dried I fussy cut the images and punched a hole in the top, using a single punch hole punch - just from a standard stationary shop.

I then followed the instructions on the pack as to how long and what temperature to pop them in the oven and left the oven to work its magic. Once they had shrunk down they were the perfect size for adding to a bracelet, and I had a moon charm in my beading stash! So I added jump rings and attached the charms to a plain silver chain before adding a silver clasp.

I would like to enter this bracelet into the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday - Inside the box (I thought outside the box for this prompt and designed something that would go inside a gift box I have already made previously)
notjustcards - Anything Goes
A snowflakes promise #49 Anything Goes

I got myself some flowers for our Wedding Anniversary:
We also went out to a Murder Mystery evening at a local hotel - which was really great!

Thanks for looking, and if you enjoy trying new techniques please do pop over to facebook and join my group :)

Spring @ Creative Moments

Well it was officially the first day of Spring here in the Northern Hemisphere, at 4:15pm yesterday!! Whoop! Therefore our twist for you this time on our Anything Goes challenge over at Creative Moments, is...
SPRING
Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are

Who is offering 2 images for the winner
Who is offering 4 images for the winner

Who is offering 5 images for the winner
I made a needle case, but papercrafted rather than stitched - using Rick St Dennis - Spring2017

So firstly I coloured the image using Promarkers. I then adhered this to one of the patterned card blanks I have that are really difficult to use. I thought the colours were perfect for a Spring themed card. I popped border stickers round the edge of the image in colours that matched those in the image. I then added peel-off insects for Spring, and letters. Inside I added a peel-off butterfly and some magentic tape.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges:
craftycatz #408 B is for Bugs
modsquad - ready for spring
MTTC #366 Easter/Spring
CCM #207 Go Green
Simply Create Too #136 Use Green

And I have another Dino update for you - 46hr45
Thanks for looking again,

Things that Fly @ I Love Promarkers

I am sorry I am so late with this post. I have had a busy day at work. My plan was to get the post scheduled yesterday so that I didn't have to worry about it today, however I left work later than planned and had to go back in earlier than planned, and what with it being the Equinox the time in between was quite full already. So I decided it would just have to be late and I would have to sit up and get it done before going to bed!!

So here is my card for our new challenge over at I Love Promarkers - #355 Things that fly:

Our sponsor is  Bugaboo Stamps

The Prize for the lucky winner is
2 Digi Images

I used Birthday Bird 1. Do remember to use your promarkers/flexmarkers/aquamarkers/trias in order to qualify for the prize draw.

I coloured the image with Promarkers (colours to follow).

Next I die-cut the image with a stitched square nesting die from The Works, and used the next size to cut some coral glitter paper. I layered these onto a bright yallow card blank and then stamped the sentiment in blue ink.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
not just cards - Anything Goes
As You Like It - Favourite Easter Character - The chick is a favourite Easter character of mine as it symbolises the start of Spring and new beginnings. An exciting time and a cute character.
Fussy and Fancy #207 Let's Celebrate
Addicted to CAS #132 Birds
IAAS #29 Add humour
ATSM #284 CAS

And here is a picture of the lovely bride and groom who I made the OOS's for (the spotlight was not very well placed!):
And my visitors in the snow this weekend just gone:

A little Meadow Pipit
All the bird tracks!!
Little footprints are from the wagtail - larger slippery ones from the blackbird
Any idea what they were all after??

And Mr. Wagtail too!

Hi there,

I want to share one of my ATC creations with you:

The items on this card were sent to me by a lady in the ATC exchange group:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

A snowflakes promise #49 Anything Goes

I would also like to share the completed Wedding sampler with you all:

Scientific Males

Hi there,

I have a masculine card to share with you today - from snowy Wales! My poor plants don't know whether they are supposed to be starting to grow - or still be in slumber mode!

So I used a white base card with an embossed border, and added some black glitter paper to the inside of the border. I then die-cut some circles from hubby's engineering magazine, which were based around making computer parts in the laboratory (the top circle is a person using a complex machine in the lab). I then used a Wellington topper in the centre as a slight contrast. Finally I added a siver sentiment topper (Anita's). The topper and sentiment were both pre-die-cut.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #207 Reuse/Upcycle (Upcycled the magazine)
dragonfly dreams - All that glitters
The Male Room #81 Space/Science (I went for science)
Diecuttin' Divas #360 Sketch

allsorts #459 Bring on the Bling
C4C426 Sketch also

I would also like to share the buscuits I made - Florentines to be precise:
And my collection of goodies from an ATC exchange friend - recognise anything in there lol?

Thanks for looking - now to go and brave the weather!

BINGO board @ Aud Sentiments

It is time for our new challenge over at Aud Sentiments! This time we have a BINGO board for you to play along with:

All you have to do is create a line from this board (or go for a full house), and don't forget to include a sentiment (if this is inside your card we will need to see the inside also).

We are sponsored by Star Stampz
who was gracious and gave the DT 3 images to use for our projects

I have used The Dragon and the Knight for my creation - isn't this just the cutest image?!

As you can see I have placed my sentiment on the inside of the card in the form of patterned paper, on top of an embossed panel. To finish the top line I die-cut the image, and then also a bright blue background unsing the same set of nesting dies. However, I have then added 3D pearls, the image is a digi stamp and it is coloured with Promarkers. The ribbon is seen in the flower (made of ribbon), the stitching is bordering the blue panel, and one of my favourite colours is Turquoise, with green closely behind. So I managed to use a full house for my creation!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CRAFT 459 Animals
Cute Card Thursday #521 Celebrate
IAAS #28 Emboss and Use a Die
Card Mania #102 Embossing
notjustcards - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking, and we cannot wait to see what you create for our challenge,

Sleeping Kitty

Hi everybody - finally the wedding is over and done with - the order of services were very much appreciated by the bride and groom - and so I can get back to doing my own bbits and pieces :).

So I have finally made my card for the Limited Runs progressive challenge (and just in time as it closes today!):

I took the image and coloured it with promarkers before cutting it with X-cut scalloped circle die. I layered a glittery shaped paper from papermania onto a white base card, and then layered the cat on top. I then added two sentiment toppers to the bottom of the card in a matching colour.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
dragonfly dreams - All that glitters
SUYP #28 Furrything Goes
catch the bug - All Creatures Great and Small

And here are some piccies of Piggy in the snow lol
