Something New @ Creative Moments

Hello and welcome to our first challenge of 2018 over at Creative Moments! As always the challenge is ANYTHING GOES, but as our optional twist is so easy this time, I am sure we will see many of you joining in. So what is the twist??  New - so a creation for something new, or using something new - maybe you have some craft stash that you got for Christmas that you have been trying to decide how to use? Now is your time to get it out and have a play :)

Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are

Who are offering four images to the winner

Who are offering a $15 winners certificate
The winner may use the winnings in whatever way they would like in our on-line store, for any of our hundreds of fine products, including the digitals.

Who are offering a custom prize bundle

I have made two DT creations for this challenge. For the first one (and main one) I have used Winter Bird House from Sparkle 'n' Sprinkle to make a calendar - New Year, New Home and New Baby!
For this card I used a piece of white card for the calendar base. I then matted Papermania Botanicals patterned papers (in two different colourways) onto yellow card, cut to size. Natural twine was wrapped around the long panel before fixing to the base, over a cream doily. The image was coloured using Promarker pens (I have also printed off a pre-coloured image to use, so do keep your eyes open!). I die-cut the image before stickig to the base and added a calendar tab to the side. The sentiment was hand written and a hole punched into the top. I then realised it hung slightly off centre, so I added some pearls and a brad to make it hang straight lol. The brad is a Tatty Teddy as this is for my brother and his fiancee and she loves the blue nose bear!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Animal Friends #58 New Beginning
SSS #601
And my second creation was made using some new stash - I got a pad from The Works that has gift boxes/bags ready cut-out and you just pop them out and assemble. So I made this, adding a Limited Runs image that is also new and colouring with Promarkers:

Yup it is a pillow box :)

I would like to enter this gift box into the following challenge:
Allsorts #449 Something New

And both creations are suitable for the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #205 Something New
SOS #336 Out with the old and in with the new (papers and doily had for a while - images both new)
Simon Says Wednesday - Use Patterned Paper

I would also like to share with you all the Garland I made for Yule, after traipsing round Wales for half an afternoon to find the plants.

Thank you for looking,

Hugz Tinz
