Thanks in a bag

Happy New Year everybody - well it will be in a few hours! I have been crafting with some of my new stash today. I didn't get much crafting stash on Christmas day this year, but I got a few bits through my advent calender from hubby, and one of the bits I did get on Christmas Day itself was a gift box pad from The Works.

So I used the pad to make the bad - added some ribbon from DoCrafts Botanical range and then die cut a fancy oval using a Spellbinders die, and the sentiment was from a tonic studios labels set of dies, but I used the inverse of the die to get just the letters. Here is a close up:

I would like to enter this gift bag into the following challenges:
SOS #334 Gah - Pink
Die Cuttin' Divas #349 Thanks
MAWTT #61 Anything but a card

I also have a book review to share with you all:
Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
The parents of the famous Angel children are found dead in their bed. The first their daughter knows of it is when the police are knocking at the door. The story is written from the perspective of said daughter, Tandoori, who is the ‘brainy’ one of the family. The Angel children are often referred to as sociopaths, and Tandy decides to take matters into her own hands to find out who murdered her parents, even though she believes it could well have been herself. The truth could break the family apart, or it could pull them closer together, but the truth needs to be exposed so that justice can be served, especially as Tandy knows this is what her parents would have expected.
This is a very interesting story and is very well written. However, there are a lot of pathways that are opened up, but not fully explored, leaving questions unanswered that seem to be quite important to the narrator. However, the truth is not too difficult to guess at, but is uncovered in a very unusual way. It is a good read, but like I said just leaves a few too many questions unanswered. After googling Tandy Angel it does appear that there is a series based around her, and so this may explain these questions, and I may need to see if I can get hold of some of these books.

I also have some more of my Christmas decorations to share with everybody!

I do love this tree - it has a swirl effect through the middle too!

Thanks for looking,
