Hello New Year

Happy New Year everyone, and here is hoping that 2017 is much better than 2016 for many of my friends and family - although it is not starting off well here in Wales.

I am supposed to be on a full-time contract, but my employer cannot seem to get it into their head that full time does not mean two shifts - one 8hrs and one 6hrs!! Yesterday I had my old kitty put-to-sleep as her quality of life was deteriorating and causing her distress. Today I took the Bearded Dragon to the vet to find out he is extremely anaemic and is riddled with worms! Hopefully this just means that things will get better as the year progresses???

Anyway on to todays creation - a simple welcoming card which can be used for a variety of occasions:

I used a plain purple base card. Embossed mirri card in gold and red, and die cut the red mirri. I layered a pink circle onto the gold mirri, and then wrapped with ribbon, before layering onto the base card. A tinkerbell sticker was added to the red mirri card and layered onto the panel. Finally a bow was added, sentiment spelt out and a butterfly and couple of flower embellishments used to balance the card.

Supplies - Embossing folders - Free filigree Christmas tree (on red) and free flower background (on gold)
- Dies - Nellie Snellen Nesting flower and circle dies
Papermania capsule collection ribbon and bow and (new) Cottage Garden alpha stickers.
Butterfly embellishment I received in my home-made advent calender.
