OL Christmas Sparkle

I decided to have a go at the One Layer Simplicity colour challenge - #32 is red, orange and yellow. I was also playing along with the Inkspirtional challenge of 5 stamps - but I missed the dealine for this one, and this card is not suitable for the new challenge :(

So here is the card:

I took a yellow ochre base card (looks more brown in this picture though!) and used red and orange inks to stamp a background scene. I stamped the sentiment in yellow and then red so that it could be read easily. I stamped the robin in black ink and coloured him with flex markers in yellow and red. Finally I stamped the snowflake cluster and heat embossed with Tinsel Sparkle Heat it up embossing powder, before finishing with yellow glitter number stickers and a star.

I would like to add this winter wonderland to the following challenges:
Addicted to stamps and more #216 Anything Goes
CRAFT #386 Christmas
crafty catz #343 Embossing
allsorts #386 Sparkle and shine
ABC Christmas - U for Under the Pile (stamps)
Christmas @ Sweet Stampin' - Glitter and Sparkle

I would also like to share some lovely autumnal colours with you:
This is just stunning in my opinion - such vibrant colours.

And I caught somebody trying to 'squirrel' away all those yummy nuts too:

And finally here is my finished Bebunni Christmas kit - supposed to take 5 hours, but this took me just over 6!

I have the audiobook review for the first of the Bromeliad trilogy!

Audiobook review

Truckers by Terry Pratchett (Bromeliad Book 1)
Masquin (no idea how to spell this as it is an audio book!) is a Nome who lives Outside. When he hitches a ride on a lorry with the remaining Nomes in his family unit he is surprised to find a society of Nomes that live in a store and do not believe in the Outside. Their lives seem very easy and simplistic to Masquin, who has had to struggle to keep himself and the rest of the unit alive. However when it is discovered that the store is going to be demolished by the humans it is up to Masquin to come up with a plan, convince everybody that they want to carry out the plan, and figure out how to make the plan work! The Thing (a little black electronic box) helps to a degree, but it decides Masquin needs to prove himself. This is a very amusing book to listen to, and explains a bit more about what happens in book three J.

  Thank you for looking,
Hugz Tinz
