Blackaline

Hi there,

I have quickly made a creation for both the open-minded crafting fun and inkspirational challenges and am rushing to get this blog uploaded for you all before the challenge closes! Here is my card:

This was stamped with Clear Impressions and Clearly Besotted stamp sets using a black and white colour theme. I also added some pearls to finish.

As mentioned above this card was inspired by OMCF #10 Thanks/Thanksgiving and inkspirational #120 black and one other colour (I went for white).

Here is my finished mini kit of a kitty cat on a chair:
And I have a new audiobook review for you all:

Coraline by Neil Gaimen
This is the story of a young girl who is bored over the school holidays and starts to explore her new house. She has met the neighbours and gets on well with them, but they are much older than she is and can only keep her entertained for a little while, plus the irritating fact that they keep getting her name wrong. When she finds a door that leads nowhere, which suddenly seems to lead somewhere, things certainly being to get interesting. This has also been made into a film, which is very reminiscent of the Tim Burton productions. A good book to listen too, and the film and book are very close to each other too, which is a nice touch.

Distress those edges!

It is new challenge time at I love promarkers today and this time we want you to distress those edges! We are sponsored by  IKEsART digis and I have used Muse 3.

I used Core’dinations card, which I embossed and then sanded back. I also ran the edge of my scalpel blade down the edges of the card to distress right down the edges. I used card with very obvious core colours so that the distress effect is very obvious. Obviously the image was coloured with Promarkers, but I forgot to record which ones I used – I know Satin was in there as was Umber, but the rest I cannot remember unfortunately.
This card was also inspired by the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday - Anything Goes
Digi Chooseday - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy #175 Shades of Autumn

And here is my new WIP at six hours, and not too far off being finished:

Gifts for you at Christmas

OK so I am a day late this time! But it was Halloween yesterday and I was busy with the house (besides the fact that being at home I did not have internet anyway). However, I did have time to make another Christmas ATC collection. This collection is called Gifts for you and here it is:

I have only taken a photo of the collection and I forgot the individual pictures. :(. I used a free paper pack from a Creative Inspiration magazine, with possibly Party Paws as the main image. One I used as a complete background, while the others I die-cut using the smallest X-cut nesting scalloped circle die, and off-set them against the background on the reverse as a square. I added some purple pearls to the complete ATC and then used gel pens to add the sentiment.
I would like to enter this collection for the following challenges:
Crafting by Designs - Get ready for Christmas
Crafty Hazelnuts #305 Anything Christmas Goes
Allsorts 387 Christmas
Jingle Belles - Not a CREATURE was stirring
Cute as a button #28 Christmas

Here are some Halloween pictures to show you that I was actually busy lol.
