Snow sparkles

 Hi everybody,

Our optional Sparkle challenge is still live over at Creative Moments, where we are sponsored by the lovely Polkadoodles.

Here is my card for further inspiration.

I coloured the hedgehog with promarkers and created a panel with him. I layered a snowflake patterned paper onto a pale green base card and added the image slightly off centre. To the wider side I added larger glitter effect snowflakes, and to the thinner side I added sparkly pastel stars.

Love and Romance

Our new challenge has started today over at I Love Promarkers, with the optional theme of Love and Romance. We are sponsored by the fantastic Paper Nest Dolls. 

I coloured the image using my promarkers before fussy cutting. The key and locket edges are done with a metallic promarker. For the background of the card I used Distress Oxide Sprays in spiced marmalade, cracked pistachio and picked raspberry, which I then blended using another card on top and pressing them together. I really like the effect of this background, although my pink spray has issues with the spray top and so doesn't spray properly. I added some 3D stickers to select areas, such as the patch of orange, and a sentiment peel-off to finish.

Sparkle Time

 Our new challenge started today over at Creative Moments, with the optional theme of add some sparkle. Here is my card:

I started the card by making the background using Tim Holtz distress oxide inks on plastic wrap. I sprayed four different colours and then pressed the card against the plastic to pink the pigment, and the dye, up. I coloured the image using promarkers and pencil crayons before fussy cutting. I coloured the dress with a nuvo sparkle paste. Finally I added insect stickers that are glittery. I left the top left area clear for a sentiment.

Winter Wonderland

 We have a new challenge started today over at MAWTT, with the theme of Winter Wonderland.

Here is my DT creation for the challenge.

I used my distress oxide sprays to create the background. I used three sprays, pink raspberry, iced spruce and another red colour. I sprayed the inks onto a plastic wrap that had been scrunched and then pressed the card blank into the wrap. As this was a dark green card blank only the pigment remains visible with the dye soaking into the base card, making a snow-like background. I then added a topper image and sentiment to finish.
