Out and about with I Love Promarkers

 Hi everybody,

We have a new challenge starting today over at I Love Promarkers - the only requirement is that you do use promarkers on your creations (or aquamarkers/triamarkers/flexmarkers). Our twist for this challenge is 'outdoors'.

We are sponsored by Dr Digi and I used Pierre the postie.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers before fussy cutting him. I then added him to a floral base card (mimicking a country garden). I added a ladybird on a flower, a butterfly and a floral sentiment to really bring out the feel of summer being on its way.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

craftycalendar - Masculine

ATSM #406 Make your mark

AYLI - fav colouring medium (alcohol markers as I find them easy to blend and shade with)

SimonSaysWed - Anything Goes

allsorts #625 Bright, sunny colours

Simple portrait

 Hi guys,

I have a CAS card to share with you today.

I had the silhouette topper in my stash and I decided to build the card around this. I added a diamante to the top, and then stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with Heat It Up silver embossing powder. A nice quick and simple card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
SimonSaysMonday - Frame It (delicate frame around the silhouette image)
Simplylessismoore #443 Sketch
dragonflydreams - Add some sparkle (embossing powder and gemstone)

Sentiments @ I Love Promarkers

 Hi all,

We have a new challenge started this morning at I Love Promarkers. We are always anything goes as long as you use Promarkers/Aquamarkers/Flexmarkers on your project, but our option twist for this challenge is to add a sentiment.

I sprayed the background with a Tim Holtz ink spray and allowed this to dry. I coloured the image with Promarkers. I then die-cut using a stitched square M&C die, but ensuring the balloon stayed outside the die. I then added a sentiment topper and a birthday cake.

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Bouquet of flowers

 Hi guys,

We have a new challenge starting today over at MAWTT, as it is the first of May! Our theme for this month is a bouquet of flowers. I have gone a little rustic with mine :)

I layered a beaded flower stem behind a bouquet topper to add extra interest, and then simply layered a sentiment on top of this to make a CAS card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Modsquad - Flowers

I also have a recipe to share with you today - for a Chicken Jalfrezi.

First of all chop 2 peppers, 1 onion, 1 garlic clove and some ginger into small pieces.

Add some cumin seeds to a pan with 2tbsp oil and wait for the seeds to start popping. Then add the chopped vegetables to the pan and cook for 5-10 minutes or until the onion has started to brown.
Add 1tbsp curry paste (I used tandoori) 1/4 tsp chilli powder,1tsp ground coriander and 1tsp ground cumin to the pan and mix together. Also add a pinch of salt. Allow to cook for a further 5 minutes before stirring in some fresh chicken chopped into chunks.
Add a can of chopped tomatoes and 2tbsp chopped fresh coriander once the chicken has been cooking for about 5-10 minutes and stir through. Allow to simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
