Emergence of ribbon

 Hi all,

We have a new challenge starting over at I Love Promarkers, with the optional theme of use ribbon or twine. We are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps, and as it is getting warmer I wanted to make my card to celebrate the emergence of ladybirds once again! So I used ladybug.

I coloured her using promarkers before fussy cutting. I had a rainbow sunlight panel in my stash so I popped her on this. I then used a papermania nature themed patterned paper to layer this onto, using a strip of ribbon along the bottom of the panel. To finish I added some 3D ladybirds.

Silhouettes for Christmas

 Hi everybody,

I have an unusual Christmas card to share with you today.

I used a wedding card blank with a velum centre aperture. I layered a patterned paper behind this that is fairy silhouettes, but white on black instead of the usual black on white. I fussy cut some of the smaller fairies from the paper sheet to layer onto the front. I then took some holly toppers to make this into a Christmas card.

Numbers @ I Love Promarkers

 Hi guys,

We have a new challenge starting today over at I Love Promarkers. We don't have a sponsor for this challenge so the DT could use any image they wanted. I have a selection of images that I have printed out, but haven't got round to using, so I decided to use one of these on my card. Unfortunately I cannot find where the image came from :(.

The image was coloured with Promarkers and then fussy cut. I added purple glitter glue for the number and highlights on the image. I made an easel card base and use a flower die-cut topper to make the stand. I added a sentiment to the inside of the card.

Old and new

 One of my work colleagues is leaving us at the end of the month, as so I have used one of my old cross stitches to make a card, using some new sentiment stamps.

I stitched the butterfly, then placed it inside an aperture card before stamping a sentiment to the top, and another to the bottom, in blue pretty colour ink.

I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and used a silver metallic paint pen to write the sentiment before outline with Letraset fineliner. I then simply added a card frame made by die-cutting a square out of the centre of a piece of turquoise card.

Spring forward

 Hi guys,

We have a new challenge starting over at MAWTT as it is the 1st of March already. This months theme is Spring, chosen by Christine   

 .

I used birds and butterflies for my Spring inspired card. I fussy cut the top bird before die-cutting the rest of the image. I also die-cut some feather paper with a scalloped circle die. I then die-cut some butterflies and added gems to make their bodies.
