Yup I have a Christmas card to share with you today! Looking forward to being able to see family and friends again, and of course lighting up the house :).
I used a decoupage Country Companions topper for the centre stripe and a Forever Friends sentiment stamp for the sentiment. I only added a couple of rhinestones to the sentiment.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
AddictedtoCAS #186 Berry (There are berries in the holly on the topper)
I would also like to share my recent cooking with you all.
First dice two onions and crush a garlic clove and ginger in a pestle and mortar to create a paste. I actually cheated and mixed the garlic with pre-bought ginger paste! Add to a pan with 4 tablespoons of oil and fry until the onions soften.
Chop some sweet potato and normal potato into small chunks.
Chop some red pepper, green chilli (deseed if you want it less spicy) and two large carrots.
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 2 teaspoons curry powder and a pinch of cumin to the onions in the pan and stir while cooking for 2 mins or so.
Add the potatoes and carrots to the pan, along with 300ml water. Bring to the boil, stirring regularly for 5 minutes and then leave to simmer, covered, for 10 minutes to let the carrot and potato soften.
Add the pepper, chilli and any other veg you may be using (such as frozen peas or green beans) to the pan and cook for another couple of minutes before serving.
Thanks for looking,
