Fantastic Aud Sentiment

Hi guys,

Yes it is time for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments, and our theme this time is an Anything Goes one, so nice and easy. We are sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls for this challenge and they kindly gave me Knight Owen with Dragon to work with.

Please pop along to the challenge blog to enter and see what the rest of the Design Team have created.

I made this image into an Easel card after colouring with Promarkers. The easel stand sentiment is an Anita's one and I added it using foam pads. The rest of the embellishments were ones that I have had in my stash for a few years and find difficult to use.

Promarkers - Budding Rose, Caramel, Cinnamon, Cool Grey 2, Cool Grey 4, Cool Grey 5, Denim Blue, Holly, Ivory, Lime Zest, Orchid, Pale Pink, Pine, Satin.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything goes
PFP #517 Use something old

Hope you are all enjoying halloween - pictures to follow :)

Spotlight on Autumnal butterflies

Hi there guys,

I have made a delicate little butterfly card to share with you today. I am really rubbish at taking photos for the making up stages though - i will remember eventually!

I cut the panels first, ensuring that the matts would stack evenly for each of the layers. I used plain yellow card and a sunburst patterned paper for these. I then layered the sunbursts together and stamped the flowers and butterflies in a random pattern across all the layers. i then matted the layers onto the yellow card, before layering them back together. For the spotlight technique I coloured any parts of the stamps that were on the central square. I also added the peel-off sentiment into this square.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CCEE1943 Porch in the fall (autumnal colours)
intaas #70 Celebrate Autumn
AvenueCreate #226 Spotlight technique
dragonflydreams - use black

Doris has decided that she wants Henry's hutch now!

Christmas in Autumn

Hi guys,

I have an unusual Christmas card to share with you today :)

The text background was in my stash from quite a while ago. The image was printed from a Birdsong CD-Rom (digital designer). I stamped the holly border across the join and added the topper above this. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with Tinsel green papermania powder. Finally I added papermania neon dots.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Merry and Bright
ikesworld #125 J for Jaffa
CCM #243 Sparkle (embossed sentiment)

These guys are both the same age - but look at the size difference!!
And Doris lost her ears in the wind (or so she was trying to have me believe lol).

For the girls

Hi guys,

It is time for  new challenge over at Creative Moments, with the other half of the DT :) They have made some wonderful cards for this challenge. The optional twist is to create something for the girls - and so I made this:
I used a mini 3x3" base card. I then die-cut the foil background from an old Galaxy Easter egg wrapper I had saved. I stamped the stiletto onto white card and die-cut using the next size down. I then layered these two panels in the centre of the card before adding some Papermania Capsule collection Blitters, and a wooden butterfly.

Dies used - M&C Stitched Squares nesting dies from The Works.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
CraftyCalendar - Autumn colours
CCM #243 Sparkle

For a child to colour

Hi there,

Our new theme at Aud Sentiments is to create something for a child (not forgetting that all important sentiment). Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Sentiment Designs.

I used Benson Bear Just For You for my card, and left the image uncoloured as the card will be gifted alongside some colouring pencils for the child to colour in the image themselves.
I stamped the unicorn and the sentiment using the same free stamp set, and fussy cut the image to allow the loud background to show through.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hey guys,

I have a masculine birthday card to share with you today (whilst I am out for my colleagues leaving do).

Alternative Moon style

Hi guys,

There are a few challenges about that are asking for a moon at the moment. I had a great idea, and then couldn't find the bits I wanted for it - so instead I used a digital sentiment topper as the moon and simply added some shimmery flowers, and some peel-off stars to create the idea of a moonlit garden.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
SundayPostcardArt - The moon
modsquad - harvest moon
Thelibrarychallenge #43 The Secret Garden
dragonflydreams - use black

I have baby stick insects :)

Sketch along with MAWTT

Hi guys,

Yup you guessed it - our theme for this month over at Moving Along with the Times is a sketch, designed by Carole.

I decided to continue with my wedding scrapbook album, and came up with this page:
I die-cut some circles from two different papers, and also some strips, to make the background pattern, which I overlaid with a panel from the Forever Friends papers. I die-cut a scalloped heart in bright red (my wedding colours were red and green) and then used the die two sizes smaller to cut the photo to make the focal topper for the page. I wasn't actually sure this photo would ever be used for anything, but I think it has turned out quite nicely.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for looking - I will leave you with one of my little babies :)

CAS just for ewe

I have a CAS design to share with you today using me-to-you peel-offs that I have had hiding in my stash for a while.

I started by making a grassy bank for the sheep to sit on using my distress inks. I used grass green, scattered straw and milled lavender, blending them together to make it look like it was a floral meadow. I then added the blue nose sheep sitting on the bank and a row of daffodils underneath. I used three of the smaller blue nose animals for the accents in the top corner, and then used a sentiment peel-off alongside a handwritten note (which didn't quite work out as planned - any tips would be greatly appreciated to get it looking more professional).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
AddictedtoCAS#169 Creature
CCM #242 Add a critter
TIOT - Animal Magic
AYLI - CAS or FAF - I have chosen CAS as I find it easier to create a clean card when I am not trying to have too many layers
modsquad - back to nature

And I thought I would share an update on my dino height chart. Now at a total of about 230hrs.
