Underwater Birthday Wishes

Hi guys,

I can now share with you the Birthday card I made for my friend in New Zealand. I have been cross stitching the main designs for the cards and this one was no exception:

I layered a square of watercolour style paper onto a silver base card. I then layered two different patterned papers onto pale blue pearlescent card. A fish themed paper was layered ove rthe top of these to make it look like the turtle is swimming with the fish. I backed the cross stitch with white card before cutting out (and stitched on pale blue aida). Finally I added a blue and silver sentiment. You can see that the recipients initials have also been added to the shell.

I have an update on my row of Christmas fairies for you guys this time:

It is coming along nicely - I may even have it finished by Christmas, although I am tryingt o get a birth sampler, fish tank and baby knnits finished by Christmas too!!!
