Monochrome Dragons for I Love Promarkers

Hi there,

I am in work slightly later than normal today so I have time to quickly pop my first DT post for the day on before I get ready for work! It does however mean that I am likely to hit the rush hour on the way home, which is not so good. I also hope it stops raining for when I get back as I then have to head out to drop some avon off! I would like to say that the garden is appreciating the rain - but it really isn't :(  My poor lawn is like a bit of a marsh land.

Anyway, onto the DT stuff. We have our new challenge starting at I Love Promarkers this morning, and the theme is Monochromatic - so just use one colour on your creation. Please don't forget that we do need to see you using your promarker products on your creation - if it is not obvious where you have used them, just let us know on your blog post.

Our sponsor is Little Miss Muffet

The Prize for the lucky winner is a $6 voucher

I have created this oriental inspired card using Celebrate Balloons from the sponsor:
I chose a colour pallette of browns, as I decided on my backing paper before starting to colour. This is from a Dovecraft fantasy paper pad that I have had for a while but do not use very often due to the strong patterning on the paper, but I could see it would work perfectly for this design. I then coloured the balloons using shades of brown Promarkers before fussy cutting and adding to the base with foam pads. Finally I used a first edition plaques die, first on glitter beige paper with the plain plaque, and then on brown glitter paper with the birthday one. I layered these off-centre to each other and then added using foam pads.

Promarkers Used - Satin-Cool Grey 1-Umber-Cinnamon-Dusky Pink-Burnt Sienna

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
PFP #438 Animals - dragons on the backing paper
ATSM #286 Anything Goes
craftycatz #410 use old stash
inkspirational #157 Mythical - dragons

Thank you for looking and do pop back later for another new creation!

I will leave you with this little Moth:
