BINGO Greetings @ Aud Sentiments

Well we have a new challenge for you over at Aud Sentiments, and this time we have a BINGO board to inspire. All you have to do is use a line, or if you are feeling ambitious why not go for a full house?, and tell us what you have used, and don't forget to include that all important sentiment.

I have used the central vertical line of Stitching (real), flowers and glitter:
The sentiment was stitched using Colaris DMC thread on black 16ct aida. The edges were frayed before adding to the pale blue glitter card on the white card base. I then layered together some paper flowers, papermania bloomers and papermania blitters on top of some skeleton leaves, to create a floral focal point.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
AYLI - favourite none card project - for those of ou who regularly visit my blog you will know that Cross Stitching is a regular craft for me as  regularly post updates from my WIP as well as posting smaller finishes throughout the month - so I made a cross-stitch greeting for this card
Fussy and Fancy #219 Anything Goes
CASology #311 Flip (the background is stitched rather than the design itself)

I have some new garden pictures for you today:
My sunflowers to replace the dead Rosemary.

The Rose is growing back after being eaten by a tiny green caterpillar.

It has its own sentries this time.

The Poinsettia doesn't look great at the moment - think I might need to move it into the shed?

This Nasturtium just keeps growing, even with its caterpillar friends:
And finally I have a WIP update for you all (it has been a while I know):
This dino is now at over 73 hours (over 163hrs for the whole sampler) and there are still 2 dinos to go yet!.

Thanks for looking and I cannot wait to see what you create,

Horse Clicks

I nearly forgot to make a card for Ikes Progressive challenge over on facebook! However, I got busy last night and created this - all digitally:

I used a CDRom that came free with a Quick Cards Made Easy magazine (I think), it might have been a free gift for having a letter published though. I made the sketch using 'elements' from the CD, alongside the progressive Ikes image of the horse. The text is WordArt. I did colour the image after printing, just using pens from my desk, so nothing posh.

I followed the sketch from Less is Moore

I would also like to enter:
notjustcards - Anything Goes
citycrafter #427 Click
modsquad - Anything Goes

I wanted to share some more pictures from Bristol Zoo - so first up is a pretty purple globe with bees:

Some butterflies (not easy to photograph mind)

And finally my Ratatouie (not selt right I know), using some of my home grown veggies :D
Thanks for looking - pop back tomorrow for information on a new challenge at Aud Sentiments,

Mouse Sports

Hi there,

I have a CAS card to share with you today, that has more than one fold :)

I used a Z-fold for this so that I could add my image as a pop out on the front.
I used a random piece of orange card (no idea of the size, and just scored some lines to fold into a Z-shape. I die-cut from pale blue glitter card - 'You're Invited' - Joanna Sheen; Splash was free with a magazine; flower shape - Nellie Snellin nesting dies.
The stamp is a Helz Cuppledich image of a mouse canoeing (which I thought was a perfect sport to use as me and hubby did this earlier today - it certainly gives you a workout!). I coloured the image with Papermania watercolour marker pens and then die-cut this with a Lea'bilities leaf frame nesting die.

I thought the blank left side could be used for the invite information.

I would like to enter this card ito the following challenges:
Animal Friends #65 Mouse
intaas #40 Marine, ocean or sea
TIOT - Take a ride
The Male Room #92 Wild and Free
MAWTT #78 Texture (glitter card)
CASology #310 Sport
ATSM #306 Anything Goes
Sweet stampin' - Sports

As I mentioned me and hubby went on a canoe this afternoon, and got bombarded with very friendly ducks and Moorhens. Luckily we had some food, and this is what happened:

They were even eting out of the hand on the water, but to come up onto the paddle was so funny.

Thanks for looking once again,

Music @ Creative Moments

Well it is time for a new challenge over at Creative Moments, and the optional twist for this one is to use some music. Now I am really interested to see how people interpret this one, as the DT have had some great ideas! Once again we have several lovely sponsors but I have been working with an image from Scribbles.

I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and then cut with my paper cutter on the wavy line option. I used some papermania Christmas papers (I can't remember the name of the collection and this piece was loose). Finally, I added a die-cut vellum piece and added peel-offs to finish.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
ATSM #306 Anything Goes

Sorry for the dhort post - I have the in-laws here to entertain :) (And a puppy - will get a photo for you all)

Dies/Punches @ I Love Promarkers

Our new challenge over at I Love Promarkers is all about using your dies or punches. Of course we are an anything goes blog, but we do love to see you playing the twist along with us :). Our sponsor for this challenge is StarStampz

I have made two cards for this as the images were so very different. My first uses Cinderella
I made this one into a princess birthday card using pastel shades and a with love sentiment die-cut as well as a pearlescent white stitched-square die-cut (M&C). I also used some stars left over from a previous die-cut (a circular frame with star border) to adorn the princess image after colouring her with Promarkers.

The second card uses Goth Girl
For this one I have gone darker using black die-cuts and red accents along with a splash of pearlescent white. All the die-cuts, except for the leaf, were from my ATC friends - the leaf is my die. I added red diamantes to finish after colouring the image with Promarkers.

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:
613 avenue create #212 magic/fantasy (Cinderella)
dragonfly dreams - Monochrome (Goth Girl)
AYLI - Black & White and Red because I think it goes really well with Black for a dark card (Goth Girl)
Fussy and Fancy #218 CAS (the cinderella card)

A quick pic of Piper in her cocout and then I have to dash! Isn't she a cutie?

Anything Goes @ Aud Sentiments

Yup, we have an anything goes challenge for you over at Aud Sentiments - all we require is that you add a setiment to your creation. We have a gift voucher up for grabs, so get your creative hats on and show us what you have been crafting. Here is my creation:

I took the opportunity, and an idea from an old magazine, to work on my wedding scrapbook #1. I am thinking I should have kept the centre in the first one and layered the photo over the top, but I do love the cake page.

I  would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafting by Design - Anything Goes
notjustcards - Anything Goes

I have some free growing violas in the middle of my lawn, and they have managed to survive, even when the guinea pig was on top of them mnching away on everything!

I also wanted to share a photo of my pet spider - this one is mine, not Gavins lol:

And finally I have my two recent potato harvests - the first was grown in an old compost bag - the 45L ones, and the second was grown in a potato bag.

Words of wisdom

Hi guys,

I had a go at making a bookmark last night, and here it is:
I layered a patterned paper (received in a recent ATC exchange) onto thin cream card, and then onto thick orange card (aka melon and pumpkin coloured cards :D). I then stamped the sentiment from an Indigo Blu stamp set that came with simply crads and papercraft magazine. I used Carvded Pumpkin and scattered straw distress inks, and then Pretty Colour black over the top. I repeated this combination for the dragonfly and leaf from the same stamp set, however I then added an extra leaf in the Pumpkin. To finish I punched a hole so that a ribbon or charm can be added.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Simply Create Too #141 Make a bookmark
dragonflydreams - Monochrome (orange spectrum)
The Paper Players - colour challenge

SOS #376 Leaf it to me
C4C447 Bugs

Sorry for the quick post but I have to head off now.

Dream away

Hi there,

I have a new card for the most recent Limited Runs progressive challenge (only just got it completed in time - I coloured the image ages ago, but kept getting diverted from making the card up!). But here it is finally:

I used a lilac base card with a course grain to enhance the distressed effect. I then used something Pumpkin distressed ink and a chevron stencil that I got free with a Making Cards magazine I believe. I dabbed the ink into te stencil direct, and then for the first time used my blending pad to move the ink into the chevrons. The image was coloured with Promarkers and die-cut using X-cut large oval nesting die. I inked the edge with the same ink as the card base.
The sentiment was stamped using Scattered Straw distress ink and some sentiment stamps that were also free with a magazine. Finally I added a red bow and flower, with a red diamante centre.

I would liek to enter this card into the following challenges:
Firstly Limited Runs Progressive (obviously)
Not just cards - Anything Goes
The Male Room #91 Birthday
MAWTT #77 For the boys
TIOT - Inspired by a song (Zombie by the Cranberries)
Allsorts - From boys to men

I now have some mudskippers to show you (Bristol Zoo):

A flower posing with some bumblebees and hoverflies :D:

Look at te colour on that flower!

And finally my recent cross stitch finish, which was for my Assissi technique in focus:
Thanks for looking,
