Cutest Baby

Time for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments - the theme this time is cute! We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and I think the image I have used has been discontinued as I cannot find it in the online store :(. It is BHK Angel.

I coloured the image with Promarkers - Almond; March Hare ltd; Island Lagoon ltd; April Shower ltd; Pale Pink; Pastel Green; Cerise; Satin; Pastel Beige; Duck Egg; Lemon; Budding Rose ltd.

The papers were from a free paper pack - Sweet Treats - and Papermania Mulberry Lane.

Dies X-cut scalloped hearts nesting dies; spellbinders fancy frame nesting dies; Creative dies fancy square frame.

I also used pearls, ribbon and a topper from my stash.

Here is a close up of the image:

Spooky Diggers

It is time for a new challenge over at Creative Moments, and this time we have an optional twist of Spookctacular - let us see your spooky creations. Of course it is always anything goes if you do not wish to play along with the twist. Our sponsors for this challenge are:
  Dr Digi

I have used Dr Digi - Made for Made for Each other for my card, and coloured the image close to the website image colours.

I took an orange base card and added a black glitter strip across the front. I then cut a frame from black glitter card using X-cut large label dies. I added a black and orange bows to each corner and a sentiment across the centre (made in Microsoft Word). To finish I used my new skull X-cut mini die on Papermania Capsule Collection papers.
Promarkers used - Almond, Cool Grey 1&4, Umber, Arctic Blue, Gold, China Blue, Pear Green, Caramel, Antique Pink, Cardinel Red, Dusky Rose, Amethyst, Cinnamon and Ltd Ed. Grey Squirrel, Lime Twist, Twilight Sky and Tequila Summer.

Here is an update on my second dinosaur for the height chart - about 3.5 hours (just under 100hr total).

Now for the final instalment of the Bromeliad trilogy.
Diggers by Terry Pratchett (Bromeliad Book 2)
This time the Nomes are living in a Quarry and there is some dissension because of the extra effort that has to be put in for living. The abbot and Masquin go to the airport to see about the planes (which is where the third book starts) and there is a hint of rebellion starting. However, when the humans start to re-open the quarry the Nomes must come together again to find a solution, which involves driving a digger instead of a truck! Another good book and it is fun to hear how the rest of the Nomes managed whilst the main characters were away.

OL Christmas Sparkle

I decided to have a go at the One Layer Simplicity colour challenge - #32 is red, orange and yellow. I was also playing along with the Inkspirtional challenge of 5 stamps - but I missed the dealine for this one, and this card is not suitable for the new challenge :(

So here is the card:

I took a yellow ochre base card (looks more brown in this picture though!) and used red and orange inks to stamp a background scene. I stamped the sentiment in yellow and then red so that it could be read easily. I stamped the robin in black ink and coloured him with flex markers in yellow and red. Finally I stamped the snowflake cluster and heat embossed with Tinsel Sparkle Heat it up embossing powder, before finishing with yellow glitter number stickers and a star.

I would like to add this winter wonderland to the following challenges:
Addicted to stamps and more #216 Anything Goes
CRAFT #386 Christmas
crafty catz #343 Embossing
allsorts #386 Sparkle and shine
ABC Christmas - U for Under the Pile (stamps)
Christmas @ Sweet Stampin' - Glitter and Sparkle

I would also like to share some lovely autumnal colours with you:
This is just stunning in my opinion - such vibrant colours.

And I caught somebody trying to 'squirrel' away all those yummy nuts too:

And finally here is my finished Bebunni Christmas kit - supposed to take 5 hours, but this took me just over 6!

I have the audiobook review for the first of the Bromeliad trilogy!

Audiobook review

Truckers by Terry Pratchett (Bromeliad Book 1)
Masquin (no idea how to spell this as it is an audio book!) is a Nome who lives Outside. When he hitches a ride on a lorry with the remaining Nomes in his family unit he is surprised to find a society of Nomes that live in a store and do not believe in the Outside. Their lives seem very easy and simplistic to Masquin, who has had to struggle to keep himself and the rest of the unit alive. However when it is discovered that the store is going to be demolished by the humans it is up to Masquin to come up with a plan, convince everybody that they want to carry out the plan, and figure out how to make the plan work! The Thing (a little black electronic box) helps to a degree, but it decides Masquin needs to prove himself. This is a very amusing book to listen to, and explains a bit more about what happens in book three J.
