Aud Sentiments Birthday

Hi there,

We are celebrating the 8th birthday of the Aud Sentiments challenge blog this week, so we want to see your birthday themed creations.

I have not been with Aud Sentiments for the full 8 years, but the short time I have been on the design team has been great, and I am so happy to get the opportunity to work with some really great ladies!

You can make any type of project you want for this challenge such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, altered item, pocket letter, box, etc.  Just make sure you follow the theme and include a sentiment that is appropriate to the theme.

I have used the pre-coloured Birthday Present image for my card, along with a background.

When I added the image onto the background the balloon disappeared, but I decided that I would add a 3D balloon instead. So I cut the image straight up against the background, and layered onto a piece of pearlescent pastel green card that I die-cut using an M&C stitched square nesting die. I stamped the sentiment onto the tag area using green Boofle ink. I then used a pretty button for the balloon and then added some sequins as flowers also.

Finally I coloured the sentiment with a Sakura pen, as well as adding the balloon cord with the same pen, and added a lime green bow.
