Birthday Tricks

Welcome back to my second DT post of the day. This time I wish to tell you about our new challenge over at Creative Moments. We are always anything goes, but the twist for challenge #126 is to make something for a Grandparent, as it is Grandparents day on the 10th. Our lovely sposors for this challenge are QKR.

Unfortunately my printer started to play up before I had printed out an image from the sponsor, and so my card does not have a digital image, but rather is made using a Cross Stitched design. It was made for a lovely ladies birthday, because she made the point that once you become a grandparent you see things anew - dolphins are a new passion lol.

I made the card base using pearlescent blue card as it looks like water. I then lined the inside with a moochrome paper that was easy to write on. The two bottom squares I added a floral patterned paper and the peel-off sentiment (Birthday - Wishes). For the top I added a 'wave' with scalloped blue ribbon and then layered the stitching onto a piece of gingham card to match the hoop.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Dragonfly Dreams - patterned paper
Alphabet Challenge - M for Make your Mark (Cross Stitch)
SSS513
TIOT - Stitch It
C4C401 Ocean or Beach

And here are some Lepidoptera pictures :)

Thanks for looking again,

Hugz Tinz
