Good evening,
I thought I would share a few of my most recent creations with you. This time I went for a colour palette of blue, yellow, black and white for my paintings. All of these were layered the same way - white, yellow, black and blue, with 3 layers of each.
This first one was a dirty pour, where I just poured from the cup straight onto the canvas in a wavy line. Once the cup was empty I simply stretched the paints over the canvas. The ribboning created the interesting effects in the paint pattern. This one was a flip cup. As can be seen the blue and the yellow larger mixed to give a central area that is a dark greenish-yellow with a blue tint. To me this one looks like an angler fish, with the areas where the blue has remained at the corners being the water it is swimming through. There is a beady yellow eye!
this final one is a tree ring pour - the first one that has created actual tree rings rather than a rose :D. I do love the effect that this one has produced, with some lovely knotted areas. To do this I did change direction of my circles a couple of times whilst pouring. It is also interesting how the blue is all on the one side and the black on the other.
I would like to enter these into:
Craftycatz #713 Anything goes
Do let me know what you see in the flip cup, and which one is your favourite of the three!
