In the purple

 Hi guys,

I have a more masculine style card to share with you today.

I used a lilac cardstock to make my base card. Then I stamped the stag, from a free stamp set, using my Pretty Colour Black ink pad and masking off the triangle with waste paper. I let the ink dry and then added some washi tape sentiment strips, a 'happy birthday' peel-off and a die-cut and promarker coloured butterfly.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

SimplyCreateToo #165 Black and purple only

inkspirational #223 Angle it

AHSC #389

craftycatz #522 wild and crazy

I also have another book review to share with you today:

Every Missing Thing by Martyn Ford

Ten years ago Ethan Clark went missing and was never found. Sam was the detective at the time and he lost his family, his career and his health because of his obsession with finding Ethan. He was certain that the father had not killed him, although the media were using this angle for their stories. Now Robin, the daughter of the same couple, has gone missing. The circumstances are identical: age, time of disappearance and the fact that she is nowhere to be found. Sam has retired, but he is pulled back into the case when the father states that he will not talk to anybody else. However, this time there is a trail to follow and a chance that Robin could be found. Sam knows that playing by the rules could mean that they lose their chance, however not playing by the rules puts his family and his own life in jeopardy. This is a well written story, and the perpetrator and story behind Ethan’s disappearance, and also explaining why the father seems so suspicious are kept hidden until right at the end of the story. It is a bit macabre in places, and also maybe a little extreme, however when dealing with gangs and if your family is at risk, you may well do anything to make sure they are safe.

Thanks for looking,
