With Love at Christmas

Well it is getting nearer and nearer the big day, and my trees are up but still not decorated yet!! It just seems that there is so much to do now I am home and I haven't got time to fit it all in! It probably doesn't help that I absolutely hate my new job at McD's :(. However I have an interview on Tuesday for a job that may be slightly more interesting and may actually use some of my skills rather than having to learn a whole new set for something I am really not interested in lol. On the bright note I am actually at home now and I am going to get the top tree decorated today!!

As it is a Thursday, and it is two weeks since our last challenge, it is of course time for a new challenge over at Aud Sentiments. The challenge theme is Christmas for your Love, so we want to see you create something for a loveld one. I decided to make a bookmark:

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and I used the Are you ready my friend? image they provided for us. I chose to use the precoloured version as I would not be able to colour it that well myself lol. This was actually really quick to make. I took a square of green glitter cardstock and folded the top two corners into the centre. I then used the strip I had cut of the end (to make a square) and positioned this across the folded corners, to hold them down. This creates an arrow shape which will be used to slot over the corners of the book pages. This can then be embellished however you want. I die-cut the image and some embossed silver paper using X-cut scalloped heart nesting dies and layered these together before mounting onto the bookmark base. I added a sentiment label and a snowflake button to finish.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

CMP challenges - Christmas
open-minded crafting #11 Christmas
card mania - Anything Goes
deep ocean #143 Santa is coming to town
CCM #178 Anything but a card
LOC #159 Christmas Colours

Here is my update on the fish tank, as promised - just over 130 hours:
And some pictures from the staff Christmas meal on my (almost) last day at work!
